(Jungkook's bedroom)

"This is my room!" he said and opened the door.
My eyes widen. "Oh my gosh," I mumble in disbelief.
"Your room is amazing!" I said, walking in and doing a 360 to see the whole room.
Jungkook quickly went in and picked up some clothes.
"Sorry, I'm still unpacking!" he said and threw them in his closet. "Don't worry, it's ok- ahh!" I tripped over some shoes in the middle of the floor, closed my eyes, and prepared for pain, but when I opened my eyes, I found myself in Jungkook's arms. His strong arms wrap tightly around my waist, pulling me close to him. We lock eyes and share a powerful, intimate gaze reminiscent of a scene from a romantic drama. The sensation of heat rising to my cheeks was unmistakable, and as it spread, my heart began to flutter with excitement, but I realized what we were doing, so I got scared, and we both ended up falling to the ground.

I crash-landed on top of him as he let out a groan of pain. I quickly sat up, rising off his chest, and looked down at him with concern.
"Are you okay?" I asked as I stared at him.
He nods slowly and groans out, "Yes, I'm fine."
Jungkook's eyes opened, and he gazed into my eyes. "Are you okay?" he whispered gently.
I nodded and whispered, "I'm good."

As I became aware that I was still positioned above him, I carefully raised my knee, delivering a precise blow to a rather sensitive area of his anatomy.
"Ohhhh!" He curled into a circle, causing me to fall on my butt next to him.
"Oh my gosh!" I exclaimed in surprise and concern. "I am so sorry! I'll go get some ice!" As I hastily rose from the floor, my foot caught on his backpack strap, causing me to stumble and fall down once again.
I cringed for a moment but then stood up. "I'll be right back!"  I ran out of his room, down the stairs, and to the kitchen.
"Holy shit, I went the right way," I said, surprised that I found my way to the kitchen. "Why are you in a hurry, dear?" Jungkook's mom asked me as she looked up from her phone.
"I um..." How do I tell Jungkook's mom that I just kneed him in the balls?
"I need a bag of ice!" I said quickly.

"Over there." She said, a little confused, and pointed to the drawer with the bags and the ice maker inside the island.
"Thank you!" I bowed and took off to get the ice.
"Is Jungkook ok?"
"YES!" Jungkook yelled from upstairs.
 "Are you sure-"
"Yes, mom! I'm fine!" I ran over to get a plastic bag and put ice in it.
I ran past her and upstairs. He was lying on his bed while rubbing his face. Jungkook looked in so much pain, and I felt so bad.
"Here, I got some ice!" I said, sitting next to him. "Thank you." He mumbled and put it on there. "Gosh, Jungkook, I'm sorry!" I apologized again.
He waved his hand back and forth, "No, it's okay... just help me sit up, please," He said. I got up and grabbed his arm to help him up. He moaned and fell back on the bed, curling into a ball. I sat next to him and patted his arm.
"That's not comforting," he jokes and sits up slowly.
"I don't know how to comfort someone who got hit in the balls," I said awkwardly as I started pulling on my ear, a habit I have when I'm in an awkward situation. Jungkook chuckled slightly while shaking his head. He looked at me, and I stared at him.

"Have you ever been to a guy's house before?" he inquired as he turned a bit more toward me. I shook my head in response.
"I don't have friends," I told him, a bit embarrassed.
No one has tried to be friends since 5th grade, and I've been alone for a while now.
"Yes, you do, " he laughs. I looked at him, confused.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean... You have me," He spoke slowly, his cheeks turning red as he nervously scratched the back of his neck. In response, I found myself blushing uncontrollably, unable to hide my own blush.
"You're blushing," Jungkook said with a laugh and poked my cheek,
"So are you!" I shot back while giggling.
"Thanks," I said with a smile before I lay on my back. He then lay down next to me and gave me a smile.
"I have a friend now!" I smiled even more at the thought.
"Hey, we need to work on the project!" Jungkook said, just realizing that we haven't started working on it
"Oh yeah, I forgot!" I said, sitting up and walking to get my stuff. I turned around to see him looking at me.
"Let's get to work!" I said and sat down beside him again.

[Couple hours later]

-

We were almost finished for the night; we just had to complete a couple more tasks. I looked up from my book and gazed at Jungkook, who was nibbling on his pen and reading.
As I gazed upon the adorable scene, a small smile graced my lips as I thought, "That's so cute."
Jungkook pushed his glasses up and looked up at me. He flashed a friendly smile and gave me a little wave with his finger; I couldn't help but chuckle a bit. I got my phone and looked at the time. I realized that Jack texted me back, saying that I should be home by the time he got home at 10:30 pm. I looked at the time and it was 10 minutes to 10:30.
As terror gripped me, my eyes widened and my smile vanished in an instant. In my startled state, I tumbled out of Jungkook's bed, prompting him to jump in surprise. "Are you okay?" he asked with concern etched on his face.

I nodded and went over to my backpack. I picked up my belongings and stuffed them inside. "Yes, I just need to get home!" I exclaimed as I got up from the floor.
I opened the door, but before I left, I turned around and gave him the biggest smile I had ever given anyone. "Thank you, Jungkook, for a great day!" I said.
I closed his door and made my way downstairs. I put on my shoes and said goodbye to Jungkook's mom. Then, I opened the door and ran home. I had never run so fast in my life. I just needed to get home before Jack did. My lungs burned as I kept running. I wanted to stop and take a break, but I couldn't. I didn't want to get beat tonight. About three minutes later, I arrived at my house, and the lights were still off. "Thank goodness he's not home yet!" I exclaimed, ran to the door, and unlocked it.
I opened the door, then locked it again to make Jack think I'd been home for a while. I hurried upstairs to my room, closed the door, and threw my backpack on the ground. I couldn't help but smile like an idiot as I thought about what had happened that night. However, my happiness didn't last long. I heard the door open downstairs, and Jack's voice echoed through the house. I swallowed hard and looked fearfully over at my door.

"Caroline, I need you to come downstairs now!"

"oh no..."
