Dream Vacation? That's easy, the lake. The lakes in Kentucky were some of the prettiest in the States and that's where my friends and I loved to spend our time. That's where we were going to be the next two weeks and we couldn't have been more excited. The lake house we were staying belonged to my boyfriend, Jace. We tried to go atleast once every summer. This trip was an all adults trip which didn't make my little sister happy.
"Why can't I just go?!" My sister, Lindsay, begs as I pack my last few bags into the back of Jace's jeep.
"Because, this is an adult trip for adults only" I say.
"Yeah, I get that you guys are going to be doing "adult things" and that's what I don't want you to do with Jace!" She exclaims.
"Linds, non of that is going to happen. Trust us" One of the friends in our group, Georgianna, says. Lindsay rolls her eyes and walks away to go sit on the stoop of our front porch. I smiled at Georgianna and leaned in to whisper in her ear.
"Liar" I say. She smiles back at me.
"Yeah, but I saved your stupid butt, didn't I?" She jokes. I roll my eyes and continue packing the car.
Jace, Georgianna, Georgianna's boyfriend, Sawyer, and I were all riding in the jeep. My bestfriend, Jade was driving with her and Georgianna's sister , Morgan, and our other friend, Wren. Another girl who is friends with Wren, not the group, was supposed to come, but her parents wouldnt allow her because it was too far away from home and too long a trip. We were all over 18, so I didn't see an issue with it, but it also didn't bother me too much because none of us really cared for her. Casey Stewart was her name.
"Okay, is everyone good to go?" Jace asked. He was throwing his very long brunette hair into a man bun before we started on the road.
"All good" Sawyer says. I pulled my sunglasses down over my eyes and turned the radio on as we backed out of the driveway. The first song that started playing was 'Perfect' by Ed Sheeran. It was perfect because that just happened to be a special song to all four of us. It was the first song Jace and I ever danced too together at our senior prom. We had been together ever since. And, Sawyer learned the song to sing to Georgianna when he asked her to be his girlfriend. They bad been together since high school also, which was four years ago.

After two very long hours of driving to the lake house, we finally arrived. Jace, Sawyer, and Wren all unpacked the car while us girls tried to get dinner planned out. We were honestly probably just going to order pizza, but atleast we weren't having to do any work like the boys.Jace and I were staying in one of the downstairs bedrooms, snd Georgianna and Sawyer were staying in the other. Wren was staying in his own room upstairs and Morgan and Jade were sharing one. That's how it always worked. It was kind of a good thing that not everyone in the group had a significant other.
After everyone was unpacked and settled in, Jace, Sawyer, and Wren went to gather some firewood while the girls and I all went to the beach. I wasn't much of a swimmer and I absolutely hated water, but the scenery was so beautiful I couldn't resist laying out in the sun. Morgan, Georgianna, and Jade loved water. They were always running along the dam jumping into the lake. You could definitely tell they were all related.
I was laying out on the beach when I suddenly stopped hearing the sounds of the three girls laughing from the water. It went dead silent for what seemed like forever. No birds chirped, engines of the boats from other people around us shut off, and the breeze stopped blowing through the wind. I rise up from the ground only to see absolutely nothing in front of me. I jolt off the ground.
"Guys! Where are you?" I say loudly. "This isn't funny!" I say running towards the water. The worst thoughts raced through my head. There was no sign of the girls at all.
