The rest of the school year passed in a blur. Exams and last minute studying filled my days. Along with long nights with Noah.
Soon his graduation ceremony was coming up.
I was over at his house, sitting on his bed, as I watched him get ready. He was wearing khakis along with a light blue dress shirt. He also wore a red and blue polka-dotted tie.
I stood up and tied the tie for him. Then I reached up and messed up his hair. He smiled and quickly grabbed me, pulling me into a kiss. I backed away, my face burnt red.
A knock came at the door. Noah opened it and his step-dad stood there. "Ready to go?" he asked. I nodded.
Then, as I turned back around, I saw Noah take in a deep breath. After today his childhood would be over. I wrapped my arms around his shoulders and pulled him into a hug. I looked up at him and he pulled me into another long kiss. Leaning my head against his forehead, I said, "Everything will be great. I love you."
He smiled. "Love you more."
I met Noah's dad before the ceremony. He had Noah's brown eyes and dirty blond hair.
Noah's mom cried and his step-dad was beaming with pride. I was even tearing up a little. When Noah went and was given his diploma the tears started to fall from my eyes.
After the ceremony, Noah met us outside. He walked over to us in his cap and gown. Then he wrapped on arm around my back and pecked me on my lips. Then he hugged his mom and gave his dad a man hug.
"I can't believe that you're all grown up. My little baby boy," Sarah said as she wiped her eyes with a tissue.
"Mom," Noah wined, "I'm still your little boy."
Sarah shook her head and her husband embraced her. "Who's ready for dinner?" Josh said.
