Chapter 11: The Truth Is Revealed

I Michelle Lisa Roberson was raped by my own father. My own father actually raped me in my own bed. My father came up with this ridiculous story. He told my mother that he caught Matt and I involved in sexual activity, which never happened. To make matters worse, my mom believed him. My parents decided to kick me out of the house, to teach me a lesson. How could they turn their backs on their very own daughter? These past months have been the hardest days of my life. I lost most of my friends, my family disowns me and I do not have a clue about taking care of a baby. To top it all off, I have to do it alone, without any support. I almost lost Joanna, until I told her what really happened. I was not involved with the entire football team. I was actually raped by someone I looked up to; I was raped by my very own father. I am a victim of sexual abuse. Joanna was shocked when I told her. She talked me into reporting my father to the police. My mom had the nerve to come to the police station. She yelled at me and called me a liar. I was crushed, hurt and sad. She did not even want to hear me out. Seriously, who would make up a story like this? Ever since that day, my parents have been dead to me. I have not spoken to my mother or my father in months. The rest of my family is in San Juan, Puerto Rico. I don't have enough money to purchase a plane ticket to move there, nor do they have enough money to send for me. That's the truth, as painful as the story is. However, I am happy that I was able to expose the truth. Who knows, maybe I can help someone by speaking out and telling my story. I do not want anyone to feel the hurt and pain that I feel on a daily basis. I also want everyone to know I am the victim, so I can be left alone... THAT IS THE REAL TRUTH!
