Sapphire's POV
"So, do you want to play 20 questions?" Calum asked me as I sat there staring at my hands, that were placed in my lap.
"Sorry, yeah okay." I said as I quickly looked up at him, then back to my hands, that for some reason seemed so much more interesting.
"Okay, how old are you?" Calum asked me. He took a sip from his glass, then placed it back down on the tiny table placed next to us.
"I'm 18." I said as I picked at the dark red nail polish that was on my nails.
"Cool! I'm 18 too!" Calum shouted as he did a little dance then sat back down on the couch next to me.
"Okay, when's your birthday?" I asked him. He looked at me and smiled, which I returned back but then looked back at my hands.
"25th January." He replied back to my question. "15th of December." I said to him.
He opened up his mouth to say something, but I beat him to it. "And yes Calum, I turn 19 in 4 months." I said to him as he sat there closing and opening his mouth like a damn gold fish.
"Calum, stop trying to be a gold fish, okay?" I said to him as he closed his mouth and glared at me, while I just laughed at him.
"How did you know I would say that, Sapph?" Calum asked me as he raised an eyebrow at me, then bursted out into a laugh.
I looked at him with a confused look on my face, and I was starting to question if saving his butt from ending up in jail, was such a good idea.
"What?" I asked him. He stopped laughing and looked at me and shook his head, while he tried to calm himself down.
"I-I'm sorry. Just something funny I remembered." Calum said as he tapped my knee, which made me scoot over a little bit.
"Okay lets continue. Do you have any siblings?" He asked me.
This was a hard question for me because I had a younger sister, but she lived with my great aunt because my mother didn't want her in a house with her when she had her boyfriends over.
The last time I actually saw my sister, Lavinia, was last year on her 7th birthday which was the 30th of September.
"Umm..yeah. I have a little sister." I whispered. He nodded his head and smiled, completely clueless that I was upset by the topic.
"Really? Cool! I have an older sister and her name is Mali-Koa. What's your sisters name?" Calum asked me. He seemed so excited about the topic, but I didn't.
"Lavinia." I said quietly as I played with my finger nails again.
"That's such a pretty name." Calum said, his voice filled with happiness and excitement.
"Can we move on?" I asked Calum. I looked up at him through my hair that was falling in front of my face. He nodded his head and I thought of a question to ask.
"Did you finish school?" I said to Calum. I had finished school last year, and it was pure hell for me.
"No, I dropped out." Calum said. This took me by shock because I would've thought he would've finished school, but he was in a police station today arguing with a police officer, so it doesn't surprise me. I just wonder why he decided to drop out.
"Really, why?" I asked him, hoping I could figure out why he dropped out.
"It just wasn't for me really. Did you finish?" Calum said like it was no big deal.
"Yeah I finished." I said as Calum stood up and walked into the kitchen. He walked out 5 minutes later with a box of pizza, that I guess were leftovers.
"Do you want some?" Calum offered me as he placed the box on the table next to us.
I nodded my head and grabbed a piece, and took a bite out of it. I picked up my phone and checked the time.
My eyes widened when I saw what the time was. It was now 12:30pm and I had promised my mum that I would be back by 12:45pm.
"Oh fudge. I'm sorry Calum, but I promised my mother I would be back by 12:45 and it's now 12:30. I'll see you around maybe? It was nice talking to you." I said as I quickly stood up and made my way over to the door, before I was stopped by a hand being placed on my wrist.
"Sapphire, wait!" Calum said as he spun me around, so I was now facing him.
"Do you need a lift?" He asked me. I knew he was just trying to be polite, but I didn't need a lift and I certainly didn't want him to see how I lived.
"No it's okay Calum, but thank you for the offer." I replied back and offered him a warm smile, before I walked out of the door and made my way down to the lobby and to the busy Sydney streets outside.
Once I was outside, I heard Calum calling my name.
"Sapphire! Sapph!" Calum shouted as he ran through the lobby, getting strange looks from people. I waved goodbye to him and walked into the huge mass of people walking through the streets, and left Calum standing there running his hands through his hair and shouting swear words into the air.

Hey, so I should've updated this a couple days ago, but I didn't have any Internet on Thursday night so yeah, and plus I couldn't think of what to write but this is what I ended up with.
Also thank you for 128 reads on this! This may not seem like much, but it's a lot to me.
Question of the day: What is your favourite film? Mine is possibly Pitch Perfect or Titanic.

P.S-this isn't edited because I wanted to update this quickly because I have to write an update for my book 'Love Story'.
