The summer break of her final year of junior high was one filled with many events. One of the events was something that was left unspoken and unheard till this day while the other, taught Yein another type of love.
A summer fling.
Jung Hoseok
The prodigal son of Yein's family, as he was easily one of the most talented dancers in the whole town. Yein herself spotted a high reputation that lived up to the expectation of the Jung family- who had a natural talent in moving their body in ways that were unexplainable. Her cousin was one of the boys that taught her another important lesson about love but she didn't fall for him like the previous boys. Once again through his own love, Yein learnt how summer was a period of time where silly decisions were made which resulted to stupid choices but all is forgiven in summer. After all, it's just the summer, a time where fun and joy was accepted with no consequences.
It was during the annual dance summer camp which Yein stumbled across this type of love. She was trying to find her cousin since she had troubles with one of the choreographies and needed the extra help to perfect it. After all she was a perfectionist, even to this day. However, she came to meet a scene that left her heart racing and strangely her body warm.
Hoseok and another girl was in a closet, heavily making out in one of the more secluded dance studios, that everyone thought was haunted. She hid behind the door, an eye peeking through the small crack as she watches Hoseok push the girl down onto the floor harshly, hands crawling up her shirt with his face buried into her neck. Yein eyes widen when she realised who the girl Hoseok was pinning to the floor.
Lee Mijoo
She was one of the best dancers in the academy and Yein admired her greatly for her positive vibe and amazing focus and ability in dance. Mijoo was basically the girl version of Hoseok and they both worked extremely well together when they taught the younger ones. And when they danced, it was as if they were in their own world and the crowd was the stars in the night sky, secretly watching them. However, Yein couldn't remember Hoseok mentioning about dating or even romantically interested in Mijoo. She only knew that they were very close friends since they were the same age and went to the same school.
Yein was curious what exactly was going on between her cousin and Mijoo.
"What are you doing?"
If it wasn't for Jungkook's hand that wrapped around her mouth, Yein was sure that her presence would be announced however the boy swiftly wrapped his bigger hand on her mouth. The boy dragged her away from the couple into another dance studio which she tried to pull him over her shoulder but resulted her falling and him catching her.
"Yeinnie, you can't expect me to be there every time you fall."
"I didn't ask you to catch me every time."
Jungkook pulled her up so she could stand properly, and he raised a brow, "What were you doing peeking on Hoseok hyung and Mijoo noona?"
"I-I didn't mean to... I was looking for Hoseok oppa..." Yein blushed and Jungkook leaned his back against the full-size mirror.
"Then why are you blushing, Juuung." Jungkook teased and Yein rolled her eyes, turning her back to him.
"How long have they've been dating?"
Jungkook pondered on the thought, wondering if he should tell her the truth or keep his hyung's secret an actual secret. However the look Yein gave Jungkook always hit a soft spot in the boy's heart.
"They're not dating." Jungkook opt to tell the truth. Everything is easier if you told the truth, after all he learnt that the hard way.
"What do you mean... I just saw them making out and-"
