Ji Ya Tour (Pt. 1)

"Hey! Hey!" A voice called out to me. I slowly opened my eyes and saw Ji Ya in front of me. "Do you know what will we do today?" She smirked. "What?" I was confused and completely forgotten about her plan yesterday. "You idiot! We are gonna tour around, remember?" She chuckled. "Oh yeah!" I laughed. "It's 6:00 am and I already prepared. It's just you, I'm waiting for!"

So, I got up of bed. I did my morning routine. Ji Ya just stared at me and I asked what's wrong. "You dress up well for a North Korean." She said with amazement. "Ok, let's go!" She grabbed my hand and dragged me out while she said goodbye to her mom.

"Where shall we start off?" She placed a finger on her cheek. "Hm..." She said. "Let's go to the mall!" She told me to follow her. So, I did just as she said and we reached the building. "It's huge!" I exclaimed. "Eh?" She gave me the look. "It's literally just a convenience store. We will just eat breakfast here before we go to the mall."

We went in and she grabbed her wallet and shook it in front of me. She rubbed it and said "This majestic thing is the giver of everything. But, we have to save up." She giggled. She grabbed noodles in plastic cups and some drinks with black balls but they look great though. She went to the counter while I find seats.

She went to me with cooked noodles already, I guess. I was gonna grab the fork until she slapped my hand. "It's not cooked yet, just wait." I waited for a few minutes. She said that it's ready to eat. "Thank you for the food!" We both said to each other. I made noises when I ate. She looked embarrassed and I realised that it wasn't normal here so I tried to be quiet while eating, learn manners and rules here.

I tasted the drink and it was so great! The balls were really chewy, so I asked Ji Ya on what this is. "Oh, it's pearl milk tea." She replied. I finished the whole thing and she did too. "Let's get some ice cream (words are different in North Korea and South Korea)." I told her. "Eh?" She questioned. I pointed the ice cream. "Ah, ice cream." She bought for us. So, that is what it is called here...

We went out while we said thank you to the cashier. Our next destination is the mall. "Don't worry, Kyung Weo!" She informed. "The mall is a few blocks from here." After a few minutes of walking, we reached the entrance and everything looked so new to me. It was beautiful but it was crowded so I sighed.

Ji Ya looked at me. "First, let's buy clothes. You already look good, you just need to dress up better." She said to me. I didn't know if that was an insult or a compliment. We grabbed a lot of clothes and I had to go to a "Fitting Room" over and over again. We bought a lot of clothes that it reached 3 bags. "Let's buy your phone!" She excitingly dragged me to the shop.

She picked something called an "IPHONE." I was confused at first until a guy informed and explained everything. I'm a fast learner so it's easy to teach me. For some reason, Ji Ya became hungry again. So, we ate "French Fries." Ji Ya doesn't get full, does she? "Hey, Ji Ya. Why aren't you gaining weight?" I asked. She replied that it is because she doesn't eat this many all the time.

She giggled. "What?" I asked. "I just remembered when my friends tripped and farted." I giggled too. She looks really cute, though. We went outside and looked at each other. "Now, the real tour starts now!" She skips like a child going somewhere. I just have to follow. I laughed and went on to follow after her. "Hey! Wait for me!"
