"W-Warn her mother, I... I'm going to get her to the hospital" I hiccupped, picking her up bridal style. Her face looked so pale, her lips formed a straight line as she laid in my arms, emotionless. "Go!" I yelled, making everyone jump, on their way to Hope's house. "I'm staying with you, mate" Ashton whispered, laying his hand on my shoulder.

"She's going to make it, right?" I whimpered, getting a single nod as answer "She's a tough girl" Ashton drove us to the hospital at 70 miles per hour. 'We would get a fine for speeding ,that's for sure, but I don't give a fuck, I can't let Hope die'

"Nurse? Doctor, any one? This is a fucking emergency!" I yelled, stumbling in the hospital. Fortunately, there came a nurse immediately, "What happened?" She whispered, studying the big wound on her head. "She... fell on her head" I stumbled over the words as I tried to hold the tears.

"Fuck her stubbornness! Fuck it, fuck everything!" I yelled, waiting in the hallway impatiently. "What takes him so long?" I groaned, looking in my best friend's eyes with my red, watery ones. "He's doing everything he can" He tapped my back "But that's not enough" I whispered, trying to domineer the lump in my throat.

"Have... Haven't you seen how she flew in the air, haven't you heard how hard she bumped in that tree? If that doctor makes just one little mistake, she's gone" I cried in my hands, not giving a single fuck if anyone here would find me a pussy. Ashton had to keep me from going inside that surgery room from time to time, it made me want to punch him, but I tried to remember that he's doing this for my own good.

"My Goodness, Calum!" I heard Hope's mother's shaking voice becoming louder every second. "Ellie" She ran towards me, the others walking behind her with a sad face as I stood up, ready to explain. But instead of stopping in her tracks, she opened her arms and pulled me into a tight hug. Realizing that this was exactly what I needed, I hugged her back firmly.

"Is my daughter in there?" She pointed at the door after a long silence. I responded with a single nod, not saying a thing as my gaze was still locked on the hospital floor. Everyone left us alone for a moment, so Hope's mom and I could talk. "I can't lose her, I won't survive it" The lump in my throat made it hard for me to speak. "Me neither. She's my only daughter and the only piece left from her father"

Day after day both Hope's mom as her mate sat in the hospital room, waiting for the lifeless body to wake up. I couldn't sleep, eat ot even breath normally if I saw her like this, connected to a massive beeping machine, wires everywhere on her fragile body. While Ellie was getting some coffee, I used the opportunity to talk to Hope.

"I miss you so much Hope. It's killing me to see you laying here so helpless. I don't know if you can hear me, but I love you to death. I can't live a life without you" I held her hand firlmy, hoping that she would give a little squeeze in mine. "I'm back" Ellie's soft voice rang through my ears, handing me the coffee. Without disconnecting my fingers from Hope's, I sipped from the hot liquid.

It tasted bitter, I didn't like it, but it kept me awake. I'm already drinking this cheap shit for two weeks and the bags under my eyes were getting heavier every day. I was exhausted, emotional, sick from this coffee... But the worst, I was heart broken. Every day that I realized she didn't wake up, it felt like someone ripped another piece out of my heart.

"I'm the worst boyfriend ever" I mumbled, staring at Hope's pale face. I wanted to see her long full eye lashes, her small smile and that little dimple in her left cheek that begins to show up, like I used to see when she sleeps. This isn't Hope, it's a dead copy.

"You aren't, you're a wonderful boyfriend" Ellie frowned, putting her hand on my arm, caressing it slightly "You sit here for already two weeks, waiting for your love to wake up. Since you guys date, Hope's much happier. She doesn't hide herself behind her sturdy talk and her motor anymore. She's herself again, and that's because of you"
