Trouble in Paradise

Chapter 1

I look out my window as two young kids were building a snowman. All happy and cheerful. Yet, my winter was a completely different story.

Sun was my best friend growing up. We used to make snow angels, having snow ball fights in my backyard. Heck, we even drank hot chocolate together.

I thought this was never going to last. We're peas in pod. We laugh, told each other secrets.

Yet four years ago, it became a whole different story. I went to visit him and the landlord said he and his family just left.

I told myself it wasn't true. He didn't leave me without telling me.

I search through every street and house. But, Sun was gone. He left without an explanation. My heart felt empty. Sun was my rock.

I still remember the tears on my face.

You promise me...You said you wouldn't leave. You promise me, Sun. You promise me!!

Now that I'm twenty two, I tend to not to dwell on the past. Because my life is going be phenomenal.

I'm already taken med classes at community college. And my GPA is above average.

It seemed like a milestone. But now, I'm ready to help my family in anyway possible.

My mother,Julia, is the all round doctor for children and adults. Everyone loves her. Owning Dr.Roans Medical Care, I intend to someday run the place.

But, my mother always make jokes about it. It was frustrating. But, I knew deep down, she wants to someday run place.

My phone rang as my bestie Annie was on the line.

"Annie, how are you?!"

"Better. Listening to some of my kpop music."

I could never understand the music of it. But, she introduced me to it and I kind of got hook in it.

"I can't you believe that my mom said we need to do some bonding time. I swear she is so clingy."

I smile. "Well, she's your mother. At least treat her better. Besides, the holidays are coming to a close. And, school is not that far behind.

I walk and fall on bed as Annie groans in my left ear.

"Don't remind me. I thought I would never those words again. Mrs. Honey classes on Biology would one and done."

I laugh at her situation. I don't blame her who doesn't want to see around hear one of her boring lectures.

"Well, I'm about to take my first job at the clinic Friday."

"Well, I think you be excited. Because, one of the hot throbs, Jayden Ortiz will be working there. "

My tongue nearly dropped. I had a crush on him since my middle school and high school years. He was very athletic, a member of the swimming team and has an IQ of 85.

And who would've thought that wearing glasses can make you sexy. And his father, Dr. Wes Ortiz is famous surgeon here in Savannah.

So that's a win win for me.

"I could see you blushing, Mrs. Valentine. "

"And your point is?"

"My point is doing get all to love dovey when you're working. This isn't some hot romance book."

"Look who talking considering the last three guys you try to hook up got you fired from your job."

"Just be mindful. I'm saying this as your friend. "
