I have always been quite known in school as the boy who doesn't need a wand, I can do spells just by saying it in my head; most people fear me for it. I was kind of a loner, only having one friend.

One night, in winter, I was going round the forbidden forest with my friend, Roman, who followed reluctantly as we heard some people deeper inside the forest. I grabbed Roman by the wrist and lead him closer to the noises.

Upon closer inspection, I could see another boy, around my age, in front of a huge spider. There was a boy standing next to him, shaking with fear. Both boys wore glasses while the shaking boy wore a grey cardigan around his neck, the other wore a tie.

I could hear the spider start to yell- which was never good- and the smaller spiders close in on the boys. Without hesitation, I ran forward, Pulling roman close behind.

I skidded to a stop in front of the boys and put up a shield around us all.

"Dont worry, I can get us back to the castle but it'll take a lot of my energy, understood?" I saw the two strangers nod nervously while roman looked worried.

"Virge, are you sure? You know what happened last time, I dont want to see you go through that again." he put a hand on my shoulder.

"Ro, I have to do this, if I dont, we will literally die and I can't think of another solution, you dont have to worry about me." I gave hm a reassuring smile, "now, grab hold of me and whatever you do, do not let go," I focused all of my energy and we all slowly started to fade out . within a few seconds, we were back on the school grounds. I relaxed, taking down the shield and hearing the other boys asking if each other were okay. Exhaustion soon caught up with me and my legs gave out, making me fall to the floor.

"Anx!" I heard Roman called out, I was almost unconscious by the time I felt a strong pair of arms wrap around my torso, picking my up while I lay my head on their chest.

"Are you okay?' I looked up to see the tie wearing boy looking down at me with worry in his eyes. My eyes started to droop as  new wave of exhaustion rolled over my body, I shook my head lightly, still trying my hardest stop stay awake. As we approached the hospital wing, my body started to relax more, making everything sound like I was stuck underwater, all voiced sounding muffled, barely able to understand them.

I felt my body being rested onto a bed and used all of my remaining energy to lift my hand up, reaching out for the boy who carried me, desperate for at least someone to stay. He turned around and sat next to me, slowly taking my hand in his and rubbing comforting circles in the back of it. I could hear the boy talking to his friend and Roman, Not understanding what they were saying, everything muffled to my ears. soon passing out.
