"Minho!" Chan called through the cafeteria. Minho looked up from his platter to see Chan walking hand-in-hand with someone he'd never seen before. His head tilted to the side slightly in confusion before he stood and walked over to the pair. He had never seen a werewolf that pale before. "Who's that?" Minho questioned. "Straight to the point then?" Chan responded humorously. "This is Jeongin." Chan informed. Chan pulled Jeongin forward to fully show him to Minho. Jeongin kept his gaze on the floor because he was intimidated. Chan's father had been easy to meet because they had met before. However, Jeongin had never even heard of Minho. "Hello." Minho greeted. Jeongin blushed out of embarrassment. "H-hi." He shyly responded. "No need to be shy, pretty boy." Minho commented with a smirk. Chan pulled Jeongin into a hug from behind, surprising him and Minho. "He's mine." Chan spoke lowly. "Oh! Is he your...uhm..." Minho looked into Chan's eyes for a response. "Not yet." Chan quickly dismissed. Jeongin just stood in confusion "We were best friends as kids, but we got separated the day the war broke out." Chan explained. Minho scanned Jeongin top to bottom. "I've never seen someone with such beautiful skin." Minho said with a smiled, but quickly looked away from Jeongin to avoid Chan's wrath. "Thanks." Jeongin replied with a blush. Minho looked toward the ground awkwardly while Chan's grip tightened around Jeongin's waist. 'What's with the sudden drop in the atmosphere?' Jeongin thought. They sat in awkward silence, Minho feeling uncomfortable and Chan looking like he was going to light Minho on fire. "Anyway, nice to meet you Minho hyung." Jeongin said with a bow. Jeongin waved goodbye to Minho and dragged Chan back out the way they came. Minho took notice of the clothes Jeongin was wearing. They were a little baggy on him and smelled like Seungmin. Minho smiled as they pushed through the double doors. Minho thought Jeongin was cute, but he wasn't going to get in Chan's way. Chan was his best friend and he had never seen him this animated before, also Chan would probably rip his nervous system out of his body if he ever touched that boy. "Chan what was that?" Jeongin asked when they were alone in the hallway. "What?" Chan responded dumbly. "You're the one that wanted me to meet him. Plus, you have no reason to be jealous!" Jeongin yelled. Chan rolled his eyes. "Why shouldn't I be?" Chan snapped back. Jeongin stood there and stared straight into Chan's eyes. He knew what he was about to say would hurt him and Chan, but he said it anyway. "You're not my boyfriend." Jeongin said harshly. Chan inhaled sharply and turned away from Jeongin. Chan felt like his heart had been shot into a million tiny pieces. After all he had done for Jeongin, after all the love and support he had given him, it still wasn't enough. Jeongin wasn't his boyfriend or his mate. They weren't anything. Chan hadn't realized his uneven breathing or hot cheeks until his tears fell from the edge of his chin and onto his shirt. "What the fuck?" Chan mumbled. Chan wiped his face with his hands and looked down at the stains on his shirt. "Funny," Chan spoke louder. "I thought once you came back, I'd stop crying over you."
Chan walked away and disappeared down the hall. Jeongin felt something pang in his heart and he fell to his knees. "Why do I ruin everything?" He sobbed
