Just as Kristen managed to successfully swallow her emotions, she looked back at Patty with blank eyes and an emotionless mask. "That's cool, I can deal with this." She mumbled, pulling her fingers through her hair anxiously while thinking of what she could do.

She can't use her powers. They only work in areas with heat, and while there's heat everywhere if you dig down far enough, there's not enough for her to transport three people, not even if she built a fire of her own making and used that energy. Fire casted by Kristen herself, for some reason, couldn't be used as a replacement heat source. It burned cold to her, anyways. She ran cold, and she felt ten degrees colder as she looked at Patty.

"You know, your thinking face reminds me of my friend. Can you help me find her? Her name is Elizabeth." Patty had no way of knowing how his words continued to tear Kristen's heart into pieces, like a discarded handwritten note. She wanted some duct tape, just some standard duct tape to put over the shell of her best friends' mouth... or entire head.
"Patrick, that woman is Elizabeth." Fake Patty addressed Real Patty.
"Wh-what? No way, Elizabeth is a child." Patty steadfastly denied.
"Patty, what's the last thing you remember?" Kristen asked hesitantly. She didn't actually want the answer, but she needed the answer. The knowledge would solidfy her approach to the situation.
"This, right now, and your face!" Patty started laughing. Kristen exchanged glances with the Fake Patty who was smirking with no restraints. "Krissie, it's me, really me." Real Patty reached for Kristen's hands, but she pulled them back with fire in her gaze. "Shit." Patty mumbled, standing up shakily. He barely got two steps away before Kristen jumped up and tackled him.

Patty yelped as he fell on his stomach, flipping over to grab Kristen's wrists to stop her from repeatedly hitting him. His face was a mix of wincing away
from her barrage and smiling with mischief. "YOU FUCKER!! YOU CAN'T DO THAT TO ME!! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW THAT FELT?!?" Kristen ripped her arms from his grip and went back to beating on his chest. Fake Patty watched on, taking in their relationship with a confused smile on his face. They talked to each other like siblings, but behaved like lovers. Kristen was straddling Patty, tears in her eyes while Patty squirmed under her. They gave off a happy aura, but the girl was more distressed than happy. "Do you.. have any idea how that felt?" Kristen sobbed, her hits weakening and eventually her palms just rested on his chest. Patty sat up, wrapping Kristen into a tight hug, the girl sobbing into his hoodie while gripping the fabric on his chest. "You fucker." She laughed through her tears.

Patty shushed her while rubbing her back, looking properly apologetic but also still smiling with pride. It had been a while since he got Kristen that good, he wasn't going to let himself forget it. It was just priceless, and maybe a little cruel, but priceless. "I'm sorry, I'm still here." He whispered. Kristen pulled back, and looked at him with suspicion.
"No you aren't." She accused, sniffling with a smirk. Kristen couldn't be mad forever, and she's all cried out. But, she would be using this experience for favors later.
"Yeaaaaah you're right." Patty ruffled her hair. Fake Patty cleared his throat, Kristen and Real Patty's attention snapped to him.

"Hi, yea I'm still here, and I think mind-blowing introductions are in order." He crossed his arms, pale blue eyes staring into dark blue ones. Patty cleared his throat. He geld his hand out towards Fake Patty, who was watching the two with sparkling eyes and a raised eyebrow.
"Right, Kristen, this is.... Rean." Kristen looked at Rean confused.
"Rean as in... the voice in your head Rean?" She twirled a finger around her temple, looking at Patty for an answer.
"The one and only! And may I say you're even more gorgeous in person, Elizabeth." Rean winked at Kristen, smirking. She rolled her eyes.
"Oh and he flirts. Great."

Patty barked out a laugh at Kristen's unamusement. "A hazard of experience." He defended the guy who used to camp out in his head.
"Hmm." She flared her nostrils, before stretching and sighing. "Well, pressing question. How in the fuck are you still alive?" She looked at Patty, again. Despite the nonchalant attitude she was trying to put on, no one was fooled. They all saw and felt her concern.
"I can't even tell you." Patty sighed in response, looking down at the girl in his lap that he had come to adore. Thick as thieves, joined at the hip, any of those hyperboles and similes could apply to the two, after three centuries of bonding. It broke his heart whenever he thought of her drifting away, or growing up and leaving him. Patty never considered he might be leaving her.
"I have a few ideas. But they're all just.... wild." Rean said, obviously thinking hard. Kristen could practically feel the heat from his brain from across the room. Unfortunately, it was imaginary.

"Oh 'cause this situation isn't wild enough. Can we get down to that when we get home? I'm freezing." Kristen pleaded with some heavy sarcasm. Patty and Rean smirked and shook their heads in unison.
"You're always freezing." The two men chorused. Kristen's eyes widened.
"That... was creepy. It's like y'all are my own personal Fred and George." She giggled.
"But yeah, let's go home. Patty?" Rean looked to Patty, Kristen's humor melting to confusion.
"Count of three?" Patty asked, holding up his hand.
Kristen tilted her head, annoyed she didn't get her answers. She didn't appreciate being left in the dark. "What?"
"One... two... three!" Rean counts off, and at the same time, the boys flicked their wrists and sent the three of them back to the Palaye residence.
