your teacher had been hinting at a partnered project all week and today was the day she decided to give out partners.
you dreaded partner work the most.
"i will start naming," mrs chang grabbed her clipboard. "chun li, and park woo."
they gathered together with a smile.
"kim taehyung and park ri-na,"
you froze, your body suddenly becoming clammy to the sound of her name.
"mrs-"
"if you have a problem with your partner we'll talk after class."
you looked towards her, a small smirk on your face.
"are you coming or not?"
mrs. chang continued to name off the partners. you grappled your backpack setting it inbetween your legs.
"have a seat, ri-na, please." you smiled generously towards her. she looked scared, looked as if you looked more she would pass out.
"i-i'll do the work, you don't-"
"i don't have a problem with you ri-na." you chuckled lightly, your eyes meeting hers.
"if anything i'm glad i got you."
-and that was a fact.
