"Levi please."
"Absolutely not."
"Levi come on its just for some time and I promise to find a new one."
Levi's bestfriend, Erwin, was begging and pleading for Levi to accept the job as a temporary school nurse. The former nurse had resigned. Erwin was the principal of SNK High School. Levi didn't want to take the job as not only did he hate kids more than anything, he still had his coffee shop to maintain. But actually, he could just ask his other workers to handle the shop during school hours and get off when Levi comes back but he wasn't going to tell Erwin that.
"Erwin no. Kids are annoying and the nurse's room probably isn't even clean and that's gross." Erwin sighed for the umpteenth time. "Okay look I promise to get the room clean before you enter and it won't be long till I find a new one. Please? Just this once?" Levi looked at Erwin. He had never seen Erwin this desperate before. Erwin must really put the school as his first priority. Levi thought about it. Maybe it isn't so bad. All he needed to do was just check on some students and be done for the day. Plus he used to go to medical school so he has the knowledge and experience. Levi decided to give in just this one time.
"Alright fine. But remember to clean the place up first." Erwin immediately brightened up. "Thank you Levi! I really appreciate it!" Erwin jumped in for a hug and enveloped Levi. Levi awkwardly patted Erwin's back and after a few seconds, asked Erwin to get off him. "Yes okay I get it you can let go now." Erwin let go and smiled at Levi.
"So when do I start?" Levi asked while folding his arms. "You start tomorrow. I'll text you the address and some other details later." Erwin glanced at his watch. "Oh Levi I got to go now Hanji's waiting for me. Bye and thank you again!" Levi snorted when he heard Hanji's name. Hanji is also Levi's bestfriend. But really, Levi didn't understand how they are bestfriends. They apparently just are despite being the total opposite of each other. "Yeah yeah okay bye. Tell Hanji I said you're annoying." Erwin just laughed and ran off.
Levi sighed and shoved his hands down the pockets of his black jacket. It was getting quite cold. He tightened the black scarf around his neck, smoothed the black material of his pants and walked off. Today was Sunday so it was a day off from work. The cold icy wind was blowing against his face, making it cold and slightly red. Levi actually liked this weather. There was no sun, there was no rain either and it wasn't freezing cold. It was gloomy, cold and sad, just how he liked it.
Levi was the type to forever be clad in black clothing even shoes. He didn't like striking colors or bright ones. He didn't even like colors except for black in general. And he was also the type to have only two, maybe three, close friends he genuinely liked and didn't hate. He didn't like interacting with people nor making new friends. Infact, he hated it. Found it annoying.
He was walking down the streets just gazing at the shops around him when he felt something in his pocket buzz and vibrate twice. He realized it was his phone and took it out to check. There was a message from an unknown number. He raised an eyebrow. He clicked on the notification and read the message.
Hey Levi. It's Eren. It was rather cute how you gave me your number heheh. Anyway, its a Sunday so I guess it's your day off? Its about 5 in the evening, want to catch a movie and have dinner or something? I'm just really bored and I don't want to do my homework. Only if you're free of course :)
Levi cracked a small smile. Eren wanted to hang out with him. He suddenly felt this warm, fuzzy feeling inside him. He disregarded it and quickly typed a reply.
Yeah sure. Meet up at the mall near the library at around 6:30 to 7? Call me when you get there.
And send. He shoved the phone back to his pocket and began walking home. He smiled to himself and hid his face into his scarf. He didn't really want to smile in public. He headed straight home to decided what to wear. He kept thinking about Eren throughout his whole journey home.

Eren jerked when he heard his phone signally he recieved a message. He read the reply and smiled idiotically to himself. Eren actually wanted to text Levi at 3 but was debating whether to do it or not. He was sitting on his bed, long given up on his homework. He was bored and wanted to go out. Then he remembered he had Levi's number. He scrolled through the contacts and found Levi and clicked on it. He was about to type a message before a problem popped out.
What do I say? Should I do it?
Eren bit his lip and stared at his phone. He wanted it to sound like he just wanted to hang out and nothig further than that. Then he began thinking what happens if Levi is busy or something. He mentally slapped himself when he remembered it was a Sunday today. Eren typed a few words before shaking his head and deleting it. He kept repeating that again and again till about 4:30.
His battery was almost running out and he had to run to the charger before his phone died out on him. While he was waiting for his phone to reach about 50% he was thinking about himself. Why am I so flustered just from a text? I spent over an hour figuring out what to say. And why I am scared that he might say no? What's wrong with me seriously. Then he decided to just keep it short and simple. He quickly typed the text before placing it back on the table and stuffing his face into the pillow.
His heart was beating fast and he felt anxiety run through his veins. Then he heard his phone make sounds. He took a deep breath before looking at it. He read the message and smiled like an idiot. He replied with an 'okay yeah i'll be there' and ran to have a shower and change.
