The Next Morning (Friday)
Chris's POV
"Hey," I hear Sydney's disembodied voice from above me. She nudges me in my side twice when she sees I don't react. "Hey, can you get up please. We tryna straighten up in here. You're kind of in the way."
I check my phone for the time and it was damn near 2 in the afternoon. I look up at Sydney with a confused look on my face. "Yeah you been sleep for a lil minute my guy." She giggles.
I get up from my ghetto pallet and grab all the blankets I used for it, and fold them up neatly. I place the extra pillows Asia gave me, back on her bed as well.
From the corner of my eye, I see Asia and I smile at her. She shyly smiles back. "I see you're up now. How'd you sleep?" She asks innocently and I hear small snicker from Sydney. I scrunch my eyebrows looking at the both of them slightly confused, but I shake the look off pretty quickly.
"I slept pretty good. What about you girls?" I reply back, eyeing their facial expressions.
"I slept well." Sydney answers, putting all the left over pizzas inside a ziplock bag and throwing the boxes away.
"Me too..Really well." Asia says plainly until I see her lips slowly form into a smirk.
Is there an inside joke or something I'm not catching on to? If there is, I sure as hell wanna know. I pretend as if I didn't see her smirk and sit down on a stool still curious.
"Ladies don't forget we have a mandatory meeting in the lobby today at 5. I have some information to go over with all of you." I remind them.
"Ok we'll be there." They say in unison.
"Alright cool."
After chilling for a lil longer, I tell them that I'll see them later. I put my phone in my pocket, slip on my slides and dip.
Asia's POV
"Girl I'm surprised he didn't catch on." Syd says laughing at what happened earlier with Chris. I told her everything that happened last night and of course she hit me with the same crap.
"I told you he had feelings sis! Moaning your name in his sleep?? He must've been having some sort of wet dream about you." She smirks and I blush at the thought of him moaning my name.
That's something I probably would never get tired of hearing.
I also blush thinking Syd is probably 100 percent right. What I heard from him last night kind of confirmed it for me.
As we were talking, we were headed down to the lobby. We entered the elevator along with a few old strangers and continued our way there.
When we made it to the large lobby, we tried to search around for other dancers and familiar faces. Soon we found a medium sized crowd of people surrounding a man wearing a black hoodie. The man was standing on a chair, towering the rest of them and from right here it looked like he was preaching. His hands were going up and down every second and the others looked like they were listening to him intently.
The man finally turned around our direction and it turned out to be Chris.
While he was talking, he briefly looked up our way and did a second take. He checked his watch, looked back at us and waved us over. When he did that, the whole group turned their heads to look at us.
"Make us more obvious why don't ya" Sydney mumbles.
"Damn, are we late or something? People looking at us weird." I ask her, slightly picking up the pace.
"I mean we shouldn't be. It's 5:02." She shrugs.
We finally make our way up there and through the crowd, close enough to hear what Chris has to tell us.
He clears his throat before speaking."Okay now back to what I was saying, the bus will be here at 6 in the morning and will departure at 8. The water park is approximately an hour and thirty minutes away, so you guys better make it to the bus on time or find a ride suitable for you that can still get you there on time. If not, ya ass will get left and I'll have someone cover your spot. You guys and girls understand?" Chris speaks to everyone loud and clearly.
Some nod their heads and others respond yes.
"One more thing, as you know the last part of the dance routine requires one female or one male dancer to accompany you. Ya know... that person you dance and twerk all up on," He smirks and earns a couple of giggles from others. "You don't have assigned partners for this so you all can pick now who you choose. Doesn't matter if you know them or not."
"Ayyeee I got Tyrece!" Some girl hollers while making her way to put the young mans arm in hers rather quickly.
Poor guy. He looks so uncomfortable.
"Okay. Are there any questions before we dismiss?" Chris asks out loud and a few of them raise their hands. "Ok. One at a time please."
While he answers them, I look around at the group of people before me. I would be fine just dancing with Sydney, but she already is linked up to some guy she met at breakfast a couple of days ago. I look around and it was only a few guys left. One of them couldn't keep their eyes off me and that's the one I went with.
For now.
I walk towards his way and I watch as his almond eyes light up. He shyly smiles, showing his pearly white front row of teeth. I smile back. He's a lil cutie pie, I tell you that much.
"I take it that you're my partner?" He says shoving his hands in his pockets.
"Yeah. I am. Are you fine with that?" I ask.
"Oh yes, I'm perfectly fine with that. What's your name? May I ask?" He asks politely and smooth as ever.
"Asia." I reply. He takes my right hand and brings it up to his lips to kiss it gently. I smile a little wider. He's a gentleman. That's rare to find these days in men.
"Nice to meet you Asia, I'm Santiago."
