3rd Person
Thursday Afternoon
After her first visit to the host club, (y/n) found herself returning more than once. Tamaki seemed to be constantly dragging Haruhi off on some strange escapade during their lunch period, and as the days rolled by (y/n) ended up visiting her friend at the music room more times than she had expected.
"(Y/n)-chan, (Y/n)-chan!"
A high-pitched voice floated into the small back room of the host club, gaining the attention of the (h/c) haired girl who was carefully rinsing and drying a floral patterned tea cup. Gently setting the cup down, she glanced over her shoulder toward the doorway. Only a fraction of a second later a short blond boy came skipping into the room.
"(Y/n)-chan, I saved you some cake!" The third year wore a wide smile as he held out a piece of cake to the girl.
"Thank you Honey, that's sweet," she replied, quickly drying her hands so that she could take the plate from the boy. She offered him a warm smile in return, appreciating the gesture but also wanting to finish up the dishes. Deciding to set the cake on the counter behind her, she noticed the boy looking almost disappointed. Is he sad just because I'm not eating the cake right away? The whole host club was still a bit strange to her. "I'll eat it as soon as I finish," she assured the third year, restoring his smile.
"Ok!" With that Honey skipped off, returning to Mori in the now empty club room.
Turning back to the sink behind her, the girl glanced at her brown haired friend.
"How close are we?"
"Nearly done," Haruhi replied, a note of tiredness in his voice. Somehow he had gotten stuck with several days' worth of host club dishes, and (y/n) had offered to help him out. The two of them had been working steadily since club hours ended, and finally they were nearing the end of what had once been a towering pile of expensive china.
Working in steady silence for several more minutes, the pair was finally blessed with the end of the dish pile. As (y/n) reached up to slide the final teacup onto its shelf, she and Haruhi slumped against the counter with relief.
After a moment, (y/n) glanced off to the side and noticed the cake that Honey had brought her still sitting on the countertop. Reaching over, she grabbed it off the marble surface and retrieved a pair of forks before turning to Haruhi once again.
"Wanna go sit down?" She asked her friend, gesturing to the main host club room. He simply nodded in response and the pair made their way to one of the elegant host club tables.
A week ago (y/n) never would have thought that she would be spending her free time helping out the host club. However, as her friendship with Haruhi progressed, she had realized that the kind brunette and the over-the-top club were a package deal. It was for this reason that she found herself spending more and more time with the peculiar group. She still ate lunch with the brunette out in the courtyard, but now she would also often drop by music room three near the end of club hours to say hello before heading home.
(Y/n) had even begun making friends with the rest of the club members. Though she still spoke mostly to Haruhi, Honey was always eager to say hello and share a piece of cake while Mori sat quietly nearby. Tamaki was still his overbearing self, but it wasn't like he was the first endlessly energetic and over-the-top person she had met —even the host club king couldn't compete with a certain tentacled teacher— and she was starting to get used to having him around. The twins showed little to no interest in Haruhi's new friend, but for now (y/n) preferred not to get caught up in their scheming.
