A few weeks have passed, rain trickled down. The downpour on my roof aroused me rather abruptly from my sleep. It was odd of me to awake before my alarm, which was waiting to alert me, so I turned it off and I got ready with a few minutes to spare. I got my umbrella ready as I put on a light jacket. I had a non-strict boss, Mr. Brian, who has his secretary performing all the important stuff. The gate door clanged shut behind me while I strolled to the destination, which was at least at the other end of town. Since it is my job, I sat, waiting for at least one client to show up. The rain was probably holding them back from coming in. Around noon, Mr. Brian came in with a nervous ridden appearance, his unnaturally, light green eyes scanned the rows of employees, who acted as if they were busy.

"Everyone, the rain won't stop pouring, meaning our jobs will be dull. So, I'll let y'all go today. And... I have an important meeting, about more money for all of us!"

His pale hand yanks at the knot of his brown striped tie. We all cheered as we scattered like a pack of rats. I didn't feel like walking all the way to my house, so I ended up at the diner, ready to eat a big meal.
