Zayn's POV
"Jade?"
When she turns around, I realize that this isn't her. I stand there, staring at this girl until I see her confused expression.
"Oh my god I'm so sorry. I thought you were someone else," I apologize.
"That's alright," she smiles and I awkwardly walk away from her.
I can't do this anymore. I need to see her. My desperation for her increases day by day and now I think it's time to see her.
Nervously, I leave the store without buying anything and sit into my car. I take a deep breath before starting my car and pulling out of the parking space. I can't believe that I'm actually going to see her. To say that I'm nervous is an understatement. What if she still doesn't talk to me? Well she called me so maybe she will...?
I drive as slow as possible and get honked at and yelled at a number of times, but I don't care.
I stop the car in front of her house. I just sit for about five minutes, thinking about the possible situations that might occur in a few moments. Finally, I get out of the car and take small steps to her front door. I hesitantly ring the doorbell while fidgeting with my fingers and breathing heavily.
"Zayn?" I look up to see Ms. Brooks. I didn't even realize that she had opened the door because I had blanked out for a second.
"H-hello" I reply with a small smile.
"Zayn, what are you doing here?"
"I want to see Jade."
"I don't think that's a good idea. You really broke her heart. What were you thinking Zayn? I thought I could trust you to take care of her," she looks at me with disappointment clear in her eyes.
"I know and I'm very truly sorry. It was a stupid mistake and I realized that I can't live without your daughter. Please just let me talk to her," I plead.
"Alright, but if she doesn't want to talk to you, then come back down right away."
"Okay." I carefully make my way up the stairs and to her room. I stand there for about five seconds before knocking on her bedroom door.
"Go away mom!" she yells. I haven't heard her voice in so long. I slowly turn the door handle and when she sees me her eyes widen in shock.
Jade's POV
The door slowly opens even after I told Mum to go away, but I realize it's not her.
Zayn.
My eyes widen and my mouth hangs open. What is he doing here? I know I've missed him so much, but I don't even know if I'm ready to talk to him again.
"Jade." He speaks.
"Z-zayn what are you doing here?" I force myself to talk. We stare at each other for a while. He stands by my door in his usual black jeans and leather jacket with his hands behind his back.
"I wanted to come see you and talk to you because I can't do this any longer, Jade. I miss you."
"There's nothing to talk about Zayn. You messed up and I don't know if I could ever forgive you for that," I say and I see the impact my words make on him.
"Please Jade. Just let me speak. Please."
"Fine just say what you have to say then leave," I play with the ends of my blanket.
"Can I sit here?" He walks up to the edge of my bed. I wanna say no but I nod my head.
"Jade, I know what I did was a huge mistake and I regret it every single day. I honestly don't know what I was thinking. Every day has been a drag and when I think about what I did, I feel like killing myself. Listen, I need you in my life because I can't live without you. You're the best thing that has ever happened to me and I can't lose you. Jessica means nothing to me. Nothing. I swear. I was drunk and the alcohol took over my brain. Jade, you are the most amazing person I have ever met. Life without you would be hell. You're the most beautiful girl in the whole world and I'm lucky to be sitting in front of you right now. You're the reason that I smile and laugh," he pauses and tears continuously roll down my cheeks. He tilts my chin so I'm looking at him and he takes my hands in his.
"Jade Brooks, I love you."
