Elena sat at her desk, the worst headache she had ever had bloomed and caused the girl to groan.
She drank way too much last night at that club, usually she wouldn't have a terrible hangover the next day but she forgot to drink water and eat something before she had fallen asleep and now she was paying for it.
"Fun night?"
Elena looked up and saw her coworker, Namjoon, staring at her with a tiny smirk on his tanned face.
"Yeah. I guess you could say that."
"Was it for Jungkook's coworkers birthday?"
Elena rubbed her temple, took her water bottle off her desk and took a much needed drink from it.
"Yeah. They really know how to party."
Namjoon chuckled and suddenly looked past the girl and rolled his eyes.
"Hey, it's your ex dickhead."
Elena looked to her right and saw her ex boyfriend standing in the large window, looking down at her with an agitated expression.
"Fuck.." Elena cursed before slowly getting up and walking to the large window to open it. As soon as she opened it a cool breeze came in and felt amazing against her warm face.
"Yoongi...what are you doing here..?" Elena rubbed her right eye before looking up at the blonde male with a glare on his pale face.
"Did you have fun last night?" Came his annoyed voice. Elena was confused for a moment, until Yoongi brought his phone up and tapped it a few times. "You were blowing up my phone all night."
Elena's confusion turned to horror as she remembered flashes of last night.
She did in fact text Yoongi. Worst of all, she was drunk texting him.
Without saying another word, Elena slammed the window closed. Yoongi flinched and said something that Elena didn't understand, and she quickly closed the blinds on him.
"Wow." Namjoon playfully scoffed, watching Yoongi's shadow leave on the other side of the blinds. Elena walked back to her desk and took her cell out of her purse and opened her messages. "Drunk texting, Elena? Really??"
"Shut up. I barely remember anything." Elena scrolled up to all the messages she sent Yoongi last night and her stomach churned more and more with each text she read.
"Oh god. Why...." She groaned.
Elena: Hey, come out and drink with me. 11:34pm
Elena: Yoongi. I'm at the bar with a bunch of people and I really want to dance with you. 11:50pm
Elena: I hate you. You're not answering me. 12:15am
Elena: Dick. 12:47am
Elena: Please come. 1:05am
Elena: Ok. I won't bother you anymore. 1:23am
Elena: I'll suck your cock if you come. 1:39am
Elena: Fuck you. 2:01am.
Elena: Image Not Delivered. 3:45am.
Elena deleted all the embarrassing texts she sent to Yoongi and slammed her forehead against her desk.
"Namjoon, I'm so pathetic.."
"At least you didn't send him nudes." Namjoon offered to make her feel better but it didn't.
"I tried but it didn't send." Elena cried out, feeling utterly useless. Namjoons eyebrows rose up and his lips turned to a thin line to hold back from laughing so hard.
"Elena.." A chuckle escaped past his lips. "Get over him!"
Elena turned to look at him, forehead still on the desk with slight tears in her eyes.
"But he's just so cute.." Elena whined.
And Yoongi really was. His face was smooth and pale, his hair a nice shade of bluish blonde with some dark brown roots peeking out, his eyes and facial expression gave him RBF and Elena absolutely adored it.
"I'm cuter though." Namjoon rolled his eyes as he went back to doing some paperwork.
Elena sat there silently, her breathing fogging up her desk as she listened to Namjoon scribbling away on a form that was probably due later today.
"Yeah that's true."
~~
Elena sighed heavily as she lazily walked into her apartment, slammed the door shut and kicked off her shoes. She was absolutley tired and her hangover didn't get better throughout the day, but it didnt necessarily get worse.
"Elena?"
"I'm home." She sighed again, walking through the living room and through a door that lead into a nice sized kitchen.
"You look like shit." Elena rolled her eyes and playfully glared at Taehyung, who gave her a boxy smile.
"Gee thanks. You'd look like shit too if you actually went to an occasion Jungkook invited you to."
"That's why I don't go." He pointed at her with a smirk. "But if I did, I'd still look better than you."
"Jerk." Elena smacked his chest playfully as she walked over to the fridge and opened it to get a yogurt cup.
"So, Yoongi told me what happened last night." At the mention of his name, Elena tensed as she was on her way to grab a spoon.
"Uhm," Elena gulped, grabbing a spoon from a drawer. "What did he say to you?"
"Said you were being annoying and drunk texting him." Taehyung snickered cutely. He was sipping a glass of room temperature water with an apple in his other hand.
Elena groaned, taking in a spoonful of yogurt and scrunching her nose. Of course Taehyung would know..
"Tae, you know how I get when I'm drunk.."
"I know." He grinned. "Turn your phone off when you're out drinking, dummy."
"You think I would be smart enough to already do that."
"Look, I know what he did was terrible but I think you should move on." Taehyung shook his head. "Yoongi isn't worth all this."
Elena bit her lip and shrugged.
"I can't just move on that easily. I love him."
Taehyung stared at his best friend of many years and felt absolutely horrible for what Yoongi did to her.
Elena was the type of girl who fell in love so easily with someone, she was loyal and wholehearted and Yoongi cheating on her didn't change her love for him.
"I know you do but he really isn't worth it."
Elena knew that Taehyung was right.
But Yoongi was Elena's high school sweetheart.
Taehyung, Jungkook, Hoseok, Yoongi and Elena had formed a close knit friendship in gym class, each one dealing with some form of harrassment from the student body with no help from the adults.
High school was a drag for each of them.
But no matter how bad the bullying got, it didn't matter, because everyday in gym class and after school they had each other and that was all they needed. They protected each other.
And the day Yoongi protected Elena from her bullies, was the day Elena had fallen hard for him.
Elena knew Taehyung was right, but it was a lot easier said than done.
New story. I've thought about this for a while now and I hope you guys like it.
