Giselle followed Ella into a room that was filled with people, all who looked lifeless and unsure. "Get some lunch over at the stand and then find a place to sit. I'm going to be getting your patient band ready but ill be back by the end of lunch."Ella said happily.

The feeling of comfort Giselle once found in Ella moments before turned into disgust and anger, "How can someone be so happy? " Giselle thought.

Giselle made her way toward the stand but soon had a loss in appetite, if she was hungry before she wasn't now. Giselle spotted an empty table, the table was a light grey color with four light blue stools around it. She made her way toward the table and sat down entering her mind.

Giselle's thoughts were interrupted by someone sitting across from her. She looked up only to see a boy with curly hair and hazel eyes. "You're at my table." The boy said sternly, his voice was deep but it still had a soft tone to it.

"Oh, I'm sorry." Giselle said shyly beginning to stand up.

"No it's fine, sit back down. I was only joking." The boy said with a smirk on his face.

Giselle sat back down hesitantly and let out an awkward laugh. She looked at nails in a desperate approach to hide her embarrassment, they were long like she liked them and painted yellow. Trying to distract herself from the embarrassment didn't work, she could feel her cheeks flushing with color.

"I like your hair." said the boy with a mouthful of food.

Giselle got an image of her hair, it was wavy and dark brown with a side part, today she had it half up-half down with a yellow scrunchie to match her outfit. She let a small smile creep onto her face, "Thanks." she replied.

"I'm Noah."

"Giselle."

"I like it, you can have lots of nicknames."

"Like what?" Giselle snorted, no one had told her that before.

"Like Gigi, or Elle, or even Jiz." Noah said with a goofy smile.

"Jiz? Are you serious?" Giselle said with a smile.

Noah laughed and took a bite of his food. Giselle looked down at his plate with disgust.

"I know it looks gross, but its actually not that bad." He said swallowing.

"Where's yours?" he said confused

"My food?" Giselle replied out of confusion

"No, your patient band? Where is it?"

"Oh, um I just got here today,my nurse is gone to get it, I'll have it after lunch."

"Your new?"

"Yeah..."

"I swear I've seen you here before!"

"Nope..." Giselle said getting distracted by Ella walking in the cafeteria doors.

Ella made her way toward Giselle with a smile on her face, "May I see your wrist?" Ella said holding out the patient band.

Giselle held out her wrist that was covered with her baggy yellow sweatshirt. "Roll up your sleeve." Ella said sternly.

Giselle rolled up her sleeve forgetting about the fresh cuts that she had made that morning. Ella place the patient band on her wrist without question and made her way out of the cafeteria.

A beep sounded over the income along with a familiar voice, Beth's. "Everyone head to your room or activity center, lunch is over!" Beth said.

Everyone with their lifeless eyes stood up from their table and made their way out of the cafeteria and down the hall turning in different directions and entering different rooms.
