Chapter 12: watch where your going

Peace. Was not an answer. It never simply was with anyone. I had tried to live a life of peace and tranquility but I realized I couldn't. I wasn't capable. My body was set to destroy everything I touched. All but one.

As I stood outside of the apartment complex watching Kate and her male companions shadows dance across the living room together I thought of how beautiful she was. I thought of how I had to have her. My mind veered to another direction for a few moments. Her short black hair and the way her eyes blew my mind.

I shook it off quickly to find Kate staring out the window looking in my direction. She couldn't see me because I didn't want her to.

I started walking towards the house I had rented as it seemed as if Kate was actually staring at me. I turned my head around to see she had followed my path and still had her eyes on me. She had.

I lifted my hand up in a wave and she returned it casually. I turned back around to continue walking when a group of teenagers walked up to me grinding their shoulder into mine.

"Watch where you're going man!" one said as he pushed me in one direction. I remained calm as I fell into the arms of the second.

"What the fuck!" the second screamed and pushed me down on the ground.

I sighed and pulled myself up. This is gonna be a long night.

I grabbed the second by his collar and pulled him Into the air his feet detaching from the ground. I could feel my nails extending and my extra teeth extending through my gums. My eyes as he would know it would turn black as night itself.

The boy screamed horrified as I smiled to him. So naive. My hands wrapped around his neck and I dug my claws in slowly puncturing his skin. His eyes drew into the back of his head as I could feel the poison seeping in. It was optional but I enjoyed slow death.

I bit into his neck and began to drink his blood as it fell into my mouth. I was no vampire but it was something I needed.

I took my nail slowly slitting his neck watching his eyes widen in shock and slowly dim to nothing. All of his dreams all of his hopes all of his life waisted to nothing. Gone. Forever. Unlike mine.

I turned around but the other guy was no where to be found, yet his scent was leaving a trail for me to follow. I followed without thought letting his smell engulf me. I turned corners ran through alleys and crossed over dimly lit streets.

I was close now. I could head with fast pace of his heart. I could hear his gasps for breath. He was hiding now, he hadn't seemed to realize it would get him no where. I turned the corner to see him standing against a fence hiding himself in the shadows. Little did he know that I could see perfectly and I could see he was staring directly at me.

"It's not polite to stare." I smiled as I took a step into the alley.

He stuttered but I couldn't figure out what he was saying. I grab Ed ahold of his hair and pulled him out. I lifted his head up and stares into his eyes. Watching him shake with fear.

"Are you scared?" I asked softly.

His bead began to shake harder and he began to shake faster his body convulsing under my hands. So young. So naive.

" I would be to.." I took my claws and put my hand to his heart. I pushed into him His skin parting for me as if it were butter, as did his bones.

He let out a wailing scream as I went strait threw his body began to gurgle and he began to jump in my hands. His face became full of tears as he tried to breath. He looked me into my eyes and began to cry harder.

He slowly pulled out his wallet trying hard to concentrate. He had put the wallet to his chest as I pulled my arm out of him. He looked down gasping now clenching to the wallet tightly. He kisses his fingers and placed it on the wallet.

"I'm so sorry my angels. I'll see you soon. I lo--" he began choking and spitting up blood. His eyes closed as I reached down and grabbed the wallet from him.

I looked at what was inside. A picture of a women and a new born child took place in his I.d. pocket instead of his actual I.d., I pulled out the picture and on the back of it said ' Love keep us strong, love keep us safe. Protect us from our mistakes. We love you'.

I placed the picture in his hands as he lay there now silently. This is what I had become. This was forever who I would be. Unless Kate fixed me once and for all.
