The game against Cameroon was the easiest to Neymar out of the three group stage matches. When they played against Croatia, they struggled when Marcelo accidentally scored an own goal in the eleventh minute. Against Mexico, they struggled when the Mexican goal keeper successfully blocked all his shots for goal. Neymar truly struggled in that match. There was hardly a game where he wouldn't score a goal and he couldn't believe a Mexican goal keeper was keeping the Brazil team from achieving a victory.

Slowly, the Mexico team had become their fierce rivals. Though historically Brazil has been the more successful team, Mexico had shown more recent signs of being a football giant. And then there was the loss at the summer olympics Neymar would never forget.

If he had to be honest, Neymar would have admitted he felt a bit unsure when he played against the Mexicans. He knew they were good and in the last few years, victories had been a back and forth between both teams. But when it came to Cameroon, he was more confident than ever. This was the team who had been last to qualify to the cup, this was the team who had so far lost two of three group matches and Brazil wasn't giving them the win.

With this loss for the Cameroon team, he knew they would go home as the worst team of the cup. And he felt sorry for them, but this was football and in football anything can happen. He knew his team wasn't in their best shape, he knew they could do better things, but he also knew they were giving their all and all they wanted was to make their country proud.

When the game ended and it was evident the Brasileiros would advance to the knock out stage, Neymar celebrated with his mates on the field, but it was half-hearted. There was a thought in the back of his mind that terrified him and that was meeting April. He knew she was somewhere in the stands watching him.

How he wished this could be a happy moment for the two of them.

But he ruiined it the second he decided to lie.

And he regretted that more than anything.

Fans began to pile out of the stadium not long after the game, but the team remained cheering and taking selfies with each other. They boys walked off the field together and into the tunnel where Carolina had snuck in with Davi Lucca to see Neymar.

"Sorry." She apologized with a shy smile. "He was just so excited and wanted to see his father. So we broke the rules and snuck in."

Neymar grinned at the sight of his son, but shook his head with a chuckle at the boy's mother. "Ah, Caro, we'll both get in trouble for this." He informed her. "Why don't you wait for me near the exit, yeah?"

She nodded. "But let Davi give you a hug first."

"Okay." The young Brazilian agreed with a wide smile. Neymar loved his son more than anything.

He opened up his arms and Carolina smiled as her son jumped from her arms into the arms of his dad. "What did you want to tell daddy?" Carolina smiled, asking her little boy.

With a big smile, Davi Lucca replied, "Daddy champion!"

Before someone could see them, Carolina took Davi back into her arms and tried to leave the stadium without being seen. Sometimes she didn't like all the attention her son got because she wanted his life to be normal, but with a father as skilled and famous as Neymar, she knew that would never happen.

April stood outside of the stadium with Nev and Max. Her sisters had insisted they wanted to be there to beat up Neymar for lying to her, but April asked them to go back to the car. If anyone was going to injure him, that was going to be her.

"This is the real deal." Max said from behind his camera.

"Are you ready?" Nev asked her with an excited smile.

She took a deep breath. "To be honest I just want to turn around and run away and never stop running until I'm a billion miles from here."

Placing a hand on her shoulder, Nev reassured her. "It'll be fine. If you try to run away we'll chase you down." He joked.

April cracked a smile. "And if I try to hit him, please stop me."

"Only after we're sure he's learned his lesson." Max added with a chuckle.

"I can't believe it," She breathed. "This is Lucas. The boy from the second division team in Spain, the boy who is twenty-two years old, who's favorite color is white, and who's favorite food is Italian. He's the boy who said he loved me and I just want to know if all of this is true."

"Its is." She heard a voice coming from the stadium doors behind her.

Her heart froze in her chest when she heard his voice for the first time. She truly thought his voice was the most beautiful sound her ears ever heard. But she didn't dare turn around for fear that he could only be part of her imagination; a beautiful part of her imagination. Though his face wasn't the face she fell in love with, she knew it was his personality that actually mattered.

It was only a matter of seconds before her anger bubbled to the surface. She whipped around to see Neymar was standing there with a cutest little boy with blonde hair. "April," He said as he walked towards her. "I love you and I'm prepared to tell you anything you want to know."

"Now that you've been caught." She scoffed.

"It wasn't my intention to hurt you." He swore.

"Then what was your intention?" She asked him, waiting for an explanation. Tears brimmed her eyes and threatened to escape. "Because you lied to me, you played with my feelings, and I'd like to know why."

Running a hand through his hair, he told her, "I just wanted someone to like me for me."
