Part 2

Later that evening...

"And then he kissed you?"

"Yeah!"

"That is a big deal... On the lips?"

"No, on the forehead."

"Oh, that's less of a big deal."

"Julia I'm serious. What do you think he meant by it?"

"Probably nothing, Joey's a sweetheart, maybe he was just trying to comfort you."

"But how do you know it didn't mean anything to him?"

"Do you want it to mean something to him?" Julia enquired.

Lauren blushed slightly, "I don't know..."

"Well, did it mean anything to you?"

"I don't know!" Lauren replayed the moment in her head and couldn't hide the small smile that made it's way across her lips.

"Oh my god it did?" Julia teased her.

"Maaybee, let me think about it ok? This shit's complicated..."

Joey grabbed a drink from the fridge and looked out over to crowded lounge area of the bus when Julia approached him from behind.

"Hey Joey."

"Hey Jules, what's up?"

"Man, I got this real bad paper cut earlier. Think you can kiss it better?" His stomach dropped as she giggled at him.

"She told you about that huh?"

"Come on dude, she tells me everything. So what's going on, got a crush?" she teased him.

"She was sick, I was just trying to be... I don't know, comforting I guess..." Joey could tell he didn't sound very convincing as his gaze drifted to his shoes.

"Uh huh... and when Meredith was sick last week, did she get the Nurse Joey treatment?"

"Come on, it's not like th-"

Julia interrupted, "y'know Walker told me he wasn't feeling too good, you gonna go kiss him to make him feel better?"

"Look, she was upset after the show last night, she felt like shit this morning. I hate seeing her like that so I tried to make her feel better. I mean, what do you want me to say?"

"You don't have to say anything to me, but maybe you should talk her... Also, don't overthink things Joey, this shit isn't that complicated." 

Julia rejoined the others while Joey started to overthink everything she just said to him.
