•••The second day had normal classes such as math or history in the first half. English was a breeze. Although, when it came to Japanese, I'd have to go to another classroom with two other students from class 1-B. Me and one of them named Tsunotori Pony became quickly acquainted since we were both from America. We had a common likeness for the Fourth of July. She was much worse at Japanese than I was so I had to help her with the work. Rin Hiryu -from China- is also very pleasant, albeit not as talkative. He was kinda cute, to be honest. The three of us were taught by one of a business course's teacher with a language quirk, Mr. Tanaka. He was very strict and often went into rants about how important language is in business. I was kinda hoping that Hibiki was going to teach us but he usually worked with kids who were struggling in class. This year has been a handful for him, as I've been heard.
When it was lunch, I would have a packed meal instead of going to the crowded cafeteria. Manami loves to cook and bake and was more than willing to pack me a lunch each and every day. It's her main hobby outside her work as a therapist and I didn't want to deny her. Today I was packed rice topped with a pickled plum and a side of teriyaki chicken, something I enjoy a lot. There's a part of me that still missed the meals I had in America. I put those feelings aside for now.
Someone else also ate in the classroom instead of elsewhere. It was the weird naval laser guy. He would set up his desk like it was a small high end cafe table. The kid also seems to be trilingual, speaking Japanese, French and English fluently. It was interesting cause he didn't look smart at all, nor has he proven to be so. I thought of starting a conversation with him, but I don't really know how to go about that. I'm not even sure I can handle his eccentricities I've seen.

When the lunch break was over, students filled in their seats eagerly for the next class: hero training. It would be a great opportunity to prove that I'm capable of being a hero. I've noticed that throughout the day, students from the general course kept glaring at me or murmuring amongst each other when I passed by. I try not to listen to them and keep my mind focus. It did bother me most of the time, but I realized that they didn't make it secretive, they wanted me to know what they were saying.
"Don't worry. You can crush them. They are nothing, bugs ready to be squished. You're stronger than them, stronger than anyone. Because I made you strong."
My hands gripped into a tight fist as I took a deep, invisible breath to calm my nerves. Just like what Manami taught me. There's no way I was going to let her get the best of me in front of my peers. I had to be presentable.
"I have..! Come through the door, like normal!" Announced a booming voice. Through the doorway came in the number one pro hero, All Might. Everyone gasped as he strides in, flexing his muscles at the same time.
"It's All Might! Incredible, he's really going to teach us!"
"That's his silver age costume!"
I saw his picture and name a lot when watching the news. He's a huge deal in Japan, and in America as well. My biological dad claimed that he use to work with him. I have no proof that he ever did, he probably said that to look cool. Either way, I have no real attachment to the hero.
The muscular man posed as he started an introduction. "Hero Basic Training! The class that'll put you through all sorts of special training to mold you into heroes!" He pulled out a card with the word 'battle' printed in large bold letters. "No time to dally! Today's activity is this! Battle training!" This elicited some excited chatter in the class. "And for that, you need these!" All Might pressed a button on a small remote causing the wall furthest from the entrance to slide out shelves with numbered cases. "In accordance with the 'quirk registry' and special request forms you filled out before being admitted... costumes!" People cheered at the revelation. All Might ordered everyone to change quickly and to go to ground beta.
