Jihye was in a rush.She was late because her aunt asked her to do a favor.
She looked at her watch,its 11:50 pm,10 minutes left before the end of this year.
She ran fastly cause already arrived at the place waiting for her.
She ran while held her phone tried to call Lucas but then he accidentally bump onto an old man until he fell to the floor.
She was panicked quickly tried to help the old man stood,"are you blind bitch?!",he yelled at her humiliating her infront of people who walked pass by there.
He eyed her as though his bullshit meter was ticking in the red zone.
Jihye bowed several times asked for forgiveness then moved closer to the old man tried to check his condition before he pushed Jihye then walked away from there leaving Jihye.
Jihye felt pain at her knee cause of the scratches at her skin when the old man pushed her to the ground.
She looked at her watch,its 11:55 pm,she have 5 minutes left so she hurriedly stood then ran.
When she arrived,the place were crowded with people waiting for the clock strikes 12.
Jihye looked for Lucas who was in the crowd when she heard all the people started to count begin in "5...4..3..2..1!".
The clock striked 12 and all of them cheered and shouted happy new year.
She continue walked and looked around searching for Lucas before someone closed her eyes.
Jihye held his hands then turned around facing Lucas,"Happy New Year Babe",Lucas wished at Jihye then kissed her forehead.
Jihye smiled at him then both of them hugged before they kissed.
Thanks to the ringing of bells,honking of horns,buzzing cheer of people and the echoing music both of them were drowned with their kiss.
They have been dated for a year and they hoped that this new year will be better than the last year.

Both of them walked around while linked their arms looking for something to eat.
They chattered until Lucas noticed her knees,Lucas asked Jihye about it but Jihye denied it and change the topic.
Suddenly,they saw something chaotic infront.
Many people surrounded there as something interesting had happened infront.
Jihye and Lucas walked and joined the crowd wanted to know what happened infront.
In a sudden,Jihye stepped a step back as she cant believe what she saw.
Her heart was thumping out loud that she was sure everyone around her including Lucas heard it.
"Babe,are you okay?",
Lucas asked Jihye while held her hands tried to comfort her.
She was puzzled,she met again the rude old man before but this time its different,
"He died"
