The Stardust's Promise

"DID I just hear wedding bells, Lars?" The doctor chirped.

Nangiti ako at sumulyap sa singsing. Iniangat ko iyon para ipakita.

"Soon, doc!" I winked. "Nagsisimula na kaming magplano."

"Great! When will you tell him about your baby?"

I paused but then a smile crept into my lips. I caressed my flat stomach.

"Later?" I shrugged. "On our anniversary? Tonight?"

"You better tell him quickly, sigurado akong matutuwa ang boyfriend mo," aniya. I giggled and nodded.

"I bet he is," I said excitedly.

"At saka mas mabuting malaman na rin niya at maalagaan ka, medyo maselan ang pagbubuntis mo kaya kailangan mo ng sapat na atensyon."

"We can do this," I hummed. "Our first angel is a fighter, I know he is."

"Congratulations again on your pregnancy, Lars!"

"Thank you, Dra.," I said sincerely. "I didn't expect this but I am really happy!"

"Every baby is a blessing, Lars!" She cheered. "Goodluck sa dinner n'yo mamaya! Balitaan mo ako sa reaksyon ng boyfriend mo."

"I will,"

I was beaming excitedly while looking for the perfect dress for our date night. It's our anniversary! I am very excited to tell him!

Oh, God! I could almost imagine his handsome shocked face if he heard the news!

We didn't plan and thought of having a child yet but being intimate most of the nights together, it won't be shocking anymore. Lalo na because he wants it bare, he wants to feel me bare.

Gusto ko rin naman! Kaya nga 'di ako tumatanggi?!

I felt beautiful wearing a body-hugging black, sleeveless dress and two inches stilettos. Kinulot ko rin ang buhok ko at nag-make up ng mas matagal kaysa sa usual at espesyal ang araw na ito.

I opened my pouch to double-check my gift for him then took my phone to call him.

I sighed when I didn't get an answer. It's been a few days since we last communicated through calls or even texts.

He went to a convention abroad for business, and that's the last time I talked to him properly. Then, earlier, I received a message from him saying we'd eat at our favorite restaurant.

I thought he'd forgotten our anniversary but he didn't! Kaya sobrang excited ako! I'm sure he's planning for a surprise! He always does for our monthsary, paano pa kaya ang isang taom? Ngayon ay may surprise din akong maganda for him!

Just this morning, I realized I'd been vomiting and missed my period so I went to my OB and got checked. Surprisingly, I am two months pregnant!

I drove to the resto and stopped from calling because he's unavailable. Isa pa, magkikita naman kami, eh.

Binati ako kaagad ng paborito kong staff. Her smile was already bright upon seeing me.

"Ma'am!" Bati niya.

"Hi, Mandy!" I smiled.

"Naku, Ma'am Polaris, bumu-blooming, huh?" Pansin niya. I chuckled, nag-init ang pisngi ko.
