As the thoughts run through my head, I couldn't get past the one question ... "What are you?" I asks the so called Doctor. "I am Gallifreyan." "Is that some new country?" I continue to ask him and he just stares at me, "No?" I change my tone and he shakes his head. "Gallifrey. Is a planet where I am from. The last of my kind. I am a Time Lord."
"Sooo ... you're an alien?" "Yes."
I look at him and get up, "So ... I'm talking to a real life alien!?" "Yes, indeed you are! Now would you be a dear and tell me where I am? To you know change the subject." The Doctor asks, finishing his food.
"You mean you have no idea where you are?" "Yes, all I know is that I'm on earth. No idea where on Earth I am here with you." He gets up and walks back out into the back yard and I follow him.
"You're in Washington." I tell him and he pauses to turn on his heel to face me. "Washington ... as in United States?" I nod, "Not London?" I shake my head.
He put both of his hands on his head. "My head is so stupid! No wonder why you sound strange!! You have your American accent!"
"Heyyy ... I take offense at that! You ... and your English accent!" I held my hand up, "Quite ... we are both different, and even though we speak the same language we sound totally different." He turns again but stops to look back at me. "Don't move." He continues walking and walks right into a tree.
"Well I still haven't gotten use to my surroundings yet." He looks back at me and goes over to his blue box. "What is that?" I ask him pointing to the big blue box marked 'Police Box'.
"This? This is the T.A.R.D.I.S. Time And Relative Dimensions In Space."
"So the word T.A.R.D.I.S. is an acronym?" "Yes you can say that." "Huh, Time and relative dimensions in space ..." I repeat, "You sound weird when you say it." "So ... Professor," "Doctor!" He corrects me, "Doctor, how does the Tardis work?" "I would show you but right now she is out of service, it's going to take me the rest of the night, what time is it?" "9." "So I should be working for a long while, I'm terribly sorry for intruding on you at this time and place."
"Oh! It's totally fine I guess," I look down and the flashlight is still on, I pick it up and look at him sitting down and working. "Do you have any friends?" "Oh yes, I made quite a few! They all end up leaving, or forget me ... Or ..." He pauses and looks to the side. "Or what? What happened?" "I ... Mustn't say." He then goes back to working.
"Oh okay, well I'll be up in my room, if you need me." I give him a warm smile and he nods as I head back into my house.
I ran up to my room to open the window a bit more and look out. I see him working on his Tardis. He got it up right and is fixing things. I smile, "He's a cool guy."
I quickly wake up and I look around. "Oh ... It was just a dream ..." I sigh, but look at where I'm at. The window sill. "Maybe it wasn't ..." I look out and I see the Tardis there, the sign glowing.
I look at the clock and it's midnight. I smile as I get up to run down the stairs. I walk out to the Tardis and look around looking for the Doctor. "Is he inside?" I walk over to the door and try to open it. "Locked?" I look around to see if he's out here, I smile when I found him.
I walk over to his sleeping body. I shiver a bit at the cool wind breeze that came along. I quickly went back in and come out with a blanket.
I place the blanket around his body and then look over at his ship. I walk up to the door and knock on it. "Still is woody." I mutter with a sly smile.
"If you're gonna snoop around you could just ask." I jump and turn at the sound of his accent. "I thought you were sleeping." "I was. Until I heard you trying to open up the Tardis."
