The Doctor and the Snowmen

Yorkshire 

1895

The Tardis lands and fully appears under a bridge. The Doctor walks out back in his Yorkshire clothes. "Where is she!!" He takes off in a run. As he runs past people he heads into an open area where a few people are walking around. "Have you seen a young woman named ____?!" He asks some lady walking with her child.
"Oh! You mean the Captain James' wife who is a Governess? Miss ____ Crawford?" "Captain's wife? Huh?" He looks at the lady, "Yes, she just got married to the once single, "James Crawford just yesterday." "I'll ask about that later, but do you know where I can find her I need to talk to her!" "Oh, it's very impossible to talk to her, but if you're really lucky, you might find that dear at the port!" She smiles at him, "Thank you!" The Doctor then takes off running once more.

The Doctor comes to a stop once he reaches the port. Looking around the docks he exhales rapidly, but smiles when he sees a couple standing at a dock looking out at the sea with an umbrella. The person turns and it's ____ and she looks up to someone. The Doctor's smile fades when he saw it was a guy.
He quickens his pace over to the two.

"It's a lovely day isn't it my dear?" "It is! The most beautiful day I have ever been out to be a part of." ____ said looking up at her husband. "I must ask, why do you come to the port every day?" "Oh I don't know, just to look at the sea and take in the lovely view." She smiles looking back at the sea before looking at her husband. She gives him a grin and starts to lean over to kiss him ...

"Oh! Hello!" The two jumps as the Doctor pops in between the two. "What a lovely day to see you two! And mostly you ____!" He looks at ____. "Dear ... who is this, and how does he know you?" "Oh don't worry honey, he's just a friend." She walks away with the Doctor, "It will only be a minute!" she calls out to her husband who nods very unsure about the Doctor.
The Doctor looks at ____, "Pleased to see me?" He gives her a smile and ____ just slaps him. "Ow! What was that for?!" He holds his cheek upset like a young child that she did that.
"What the hell was that Doctor!?" "Why did you get married in one day?!" "Doctor, it's been three years since I last saw you! I thought you were going to return but you never returned!"
"Three years!? I missed three years!" He states to himself. "But, you didn't need to get married to that guy." He looks over at James and he smiles and salutes the Doctor. "So what? I love him, Doctor, I gave you a chance ... but you just kept running off, I always was the one to be by your side, to help you here, but when you left, I met James." She tells him. "Now, if you'll excuse me, but I need to go head back." She starts to walk away, but he stops her.

"You can't!" "Why not?" "Because ... I need you to go out and travel like you did three years ago!" "What?! I'm sorry Doctor but you were right, I couldn't just leave my home, I have family here, ever since you told me to stay, everything has been getting better. People were getting money everyone was happier."
"But ..." "Now if you'll excuse me, I have to head off with my husband." She walks past him.

The Doctor watches her walk over to her husband and walk off with him arms linked. "Married?!" He exclaims in disgust.

Christmas1895

The snow is slowly falling as it's the day before Christmas. The night was quiet. The governor's nephew and niece are visiting, as ____ is with her husband outside in the fresh fallen snow as their nephew and niece just arrive.

"Aunt ____!!!" The two kids both call out in joy as they ran over to give their aunt a big hug. "Hello! Julie and Jem!" ____ give the two a warm hug. "It is nice to see your bright faces here on Christmas!" "Aunt ____! Are you gonna tell us more of the stories that you've been writing to us?" Jem asks her, "You bet sweetie!" ____ smiles and gives Jem a kiss on his forehead.
"Well, dear, I'll take their bags up to their rooms, you should take them to the pond where you can tell them some stories," Uncle James walks over to take the kids' bags. "That's a great idea! Uncle James!" Julie calls out. "Well then, if you need us, dear, we'll be by the pond. Come along children!" ____ grabs both of their hands and walks over to the pond.

"Aunt ____, what story do you have for us this time? Is it like how you invented fish?" Jem asks as he and Julie sat down on the edge of the pond. ____ sits down with them. "Oh yes! Yes, the story I'm gonna tell you is, about the guy named the Doctor." "Doctor Who?" Julie asks, "No just the Doctor, he's a nice and kind man." ____ tells the two. "does he protect people?" "Yes, you can say that, I bet that he's watching over you two to make sure you're safe."
"Really? So that means that we're safe from our dad's step wife?" "Who?" ____ asks Jem. "Our old step mother treated us like we were rats. Always saying that we are bad children. She fell into this pond years ago." The two look back into the pond. "the pond froze over her, and every night we hear her voice saying that she will return and punish us for what we did wrong."

"Oh, I'm sure that's just a story to get you two to listen to your father. I'm sure nothing is going to hurt you two. I'll make sure of that!" She ruffles their hair. "Now, would you like to go inside or stay out here some more to play in the snow?" ____ stands up, turns around and met up with the face of a snowman. "Um ... kids ... when did you make this snowman?" She asks them. "We never did ..." The two answer.
____ looks over, and saw two more moving over to them. "Are they... moving...?" Jem asks.

"Yes, they are ... RUN!" ____ pushes Jem and Julie out of the way so they can start running towards the house. "Get inside quickly!" The snowmen start to follow, as the three can hear the sound of ice cracking. "What's that noise?!" Julie asks "I'm scared!!" They look over and saw an ice statue of a lady crawl out of the pond.
"YOU KIDS HAVE BEEN BAD." It shouts, "Giselle?" Julie calls out as the ice statue moves out of the pond and starts coming towards the three growling with anger.

"GET INSIDE!!!" ____ opens the door and the kids rush in and then she gets in and closes the door and locks it. "Kids! Go find your uncle! Stay with him, I'll go get someone to help!" The door made a boom, when someone hits it. "Go!!" The two kids run off deep into the house, as ____ ran out through the front door and out into the town. "DOCTOR!!!" She calls out hoping he would be around to hear her.
She gets to a park looking around and spinning. "DOCTOR!!!" No one answers. "DOCTOR I NEED YOU!!!" People started to stare at her but she didn't care all she cared about is finding the Doctor.

People around her soon leave, she looks around more, but remember seeing him climb a ladder into a tree. She walks over to the tree and starts jumping hoping to grab onto something but falls to the ground. She looks around and gets up.
She takes one more jump and holds onto something. She looks up and she's holding onto the ladder, the ladder falls down and she starts to climb up it. She sees someone walking and she waves and says 'hello' to them. "I'm invisible ..." She stated and looked up and sees a staircase that swirls up.

"Retractable staircase ..." She looked up as she starts to walk up the stairs. The ladder starts to pull itself up as ____ gets up to the top. She stops when she notices she's getting up high into the clouds. She looks around smiling as she walks onto the cloud and sees the stars all around. She stops once she sees his big blue box glowing there. She walks over to it and knock on the door. Hearing the lock on the door and she quickly moves to the side of the box as the door opens up.

She breathes quietly and heavily as she heard his voice. "Hello?" She notices him walking out and moves over behind the box. "Hello?" She hears his voice again. She heard his hand on the wood and moves around as he walked around, unsure if he's willing to help her after how she treated him before. "Hello!!" He calls out once more.
____ took this chance and ran back down the stairs. The Doctor comes around and finds a cloth on the ground. He picks it up and smells it and smiles, recognizing that smell ...


____ walks back into the house and seeing how it's night time now, everything has calmed down. She's sitting down in her bed, about to get ready for bed when she hears someone outside by the pond. "You're not clever or funny! And you got tiny little legs!" She gets up and walks over to the window and moves the curtains and she sees the Doctor out there standing at the pond. He looks up at her.

____ waves to him. He's hesitant but waves back to her. She then motions for him to come into the house and up to where she's at. He points to himself then up at her. He then turns around all nervous. "Okay ... just tell her you're leaving and you're not going up. Leaving ... not going up ..." He turns to face her and waves and give her thumbs up. She looks at him and moves the curtains. He hits himself, "What was that?! Five minutes?! Where did that come from!?" He looks at his hand and points to it. "You ..." He bites his thumb. He walks off as the ice in the pond starts to crack.


"They must've gone off somewhere else then ..." She looks out the window on the door leading to where the pond was.
She walks upstairs and goes into the bedroom where the kids are at. "Hello you two!" She walks over to their beds. "Aunt ____! Are those scary snowmen gone?" "Yes, they are no longer around." "What about Giselle?" Julie questions worried, "She's gone as well. So you two can relax and wait for tomorrow is Christmas." ____ gingerly brushes Julie's hair with a smile and gives her a kiss on her forehead.

There was a knock on the door. "Is that the Doctor you were talking about?" Jem asks as the door opens up. "I think so, Doctor?" ____ looked over a cool breeze was felt, "YOU TWO HAVE BEEN NAUGHTY!!" The ice statue of Giselle walks in. The two kids screams and quickly got out and stood behind ____.
"You leave these two alone! They are like my own children! Giselle, I've heard things about you ... but these two are the sweetest kids ever, how DARE you say they're naughty! You ... beast!" ____ yells at her, "RUN!!!" ____ shout and they all ran out through a different door as ____ barricades the door.

"What do we do!?" Jem calls out looking to his aunt. "Julie!!" ____ ran over to her, "You said she appears in your dreams, I want to you melt her in your dreams!" "I can't!" "I'm getting impatient!!" Giselle shouts and the door opens. "you have been very naughty!!" She shouts as ____ stood in front of the kids. "You said about the man! The Doctor is he here?!" Jem asks hiding behind ____, "Well he's not here is he?!" ____ shouts back, "Where is he!?" "I don't know!!" "Doctor?" They all look over at a puppet. "Doctor Who!" The puppet moves holding a sonic screw driver and points it at Giselle and she's slowing down and explodes,

"That's the way to do it!" The Doctor announces and the puppet give him a kiss. "Oi!!" The puppet hits him. "Ow ..."
"Where did she go?! Will she come back!?" Julie asks the Doctor as she looks around. "Oh don't worry. She's currently draining through your carpet. New setting: antifreeze. And you're very welcome by the way." He stood up and puts his screw driver away.
"I'm very grateful, I'd knew you'd come." ____ says to him, "No you didn't cause I don't, this isn't the sort of thing I do anymore. The next time you get into trouble don't expect me to-" He pauses and looked into the mirror and saw what he was wearing.

The coat and bow tie that ____ let him have. "What? What's wrong?" Jem asks as everyone walks over to him. "Nothing, it's just ... I didn't realize I'd put it on." He fixes his bow tie. "Old habits ..." He states with a small smile. "It's cooler." He looks in the mirror, "Yes ... it is ... it is cooler." He fixed it again and the coat remembering ____ when she gave him the coat telling him he looks nice in it. "Bow ties are cool!" "No ... the room. The room's getting colder ..."
"She's coming back!! Is she gonna punish me?!" Julie asks as the Doctor pulls his sonic screwdriver out. "Uhh ... she's learned not to melt. Of course she's not really a governess, she's just a beast. She's going to eat you. Run." The Doctor grabbed onto the kids hands and started to run out with ____ following.

"Children! What is the explinati-" James sees the Doctor. "Who the devil are you and what are you doing in my house?!" "Don't worry! I am ... your wife's gentleman friend and we were just upstairs ... kissing!" ____ smacks his arm again.

"Captain! The Snowmen they just grew out of nowhere!" The maid runs in, "See?" She opens the door and sees Vastra and her wife. "Good evening I am a lizard woman from the dawn of time and this is my wife." The Maid screams her head off, but "The dwelling is under attack remain calm human scum." Strax scared her to death and makes her pass out. "So ... Any questions?" The Doctor asks the captain. "You ... were kissing ...?" James looks at ____ who looks back at him with a small shrug.

"Vastra what is happening?" The Doctor runs over to the window, "The Snow is highly localized and on this occasion, not naturally occurring." "It's coming out of that cap off by the gates!" Adds Jenny,
"Sir! One Pealver grenade will blow these snowmen to smithereens!"
"They are made of snow Strax! They're already smithereens! See ____? My friends again." "Friends? You're friends with these people?!" James asks her and the Doctor walks over to James.

"Your current governess and "wife" is in reality a former barmaid, ____." "THAT'S THE WAY TO DO IT!"
"Meanwhile your previous governess and sister in law is now a living ice sculpture impersonating Mr. Punch. Jenny, what've you got?" She throws something and the ice reacts to it. "Sir! One observation window on the line of attack and one defensible entrance." Strax calls out. "Right, everybody move now!" the Doctor tells everyone and ____ takes the children and run off with James to his study room.

"Strax how long do we got?" The Doctor asks walking in and pouring something. "They're not going to attack. They make no attempts to conceal their arrival. An attack force would never surprise so easily and they're clearly in a defense formation." Strax explains, "Ohhh yayyy well done Straxy! You still got it buddy!" The Doctor gives Strax a noogy, "Sir please do not give me a noogie when we are in combat prep."
"So there's something here they want." Vastra began, "The Ice woman." ____ states, "Exactly." The Doctor agrees, "Why's she so important?" Jenny asks the Doctor who is watching everything outside.

"Because she's a perfect duplication of human DNA, in ice crystals form. The ultimate fusion of snow and humanity. To live here the snow needs to evolve and she's the blueprint, she's what they need to become." The Doctor explains everything that's going on walking around the room.
"When the snow melted last night at the pond," "No ..." ____ states.
James looks at the Doctor, "Living ice ... that will never melt ... If that snow comes in contact with that creature, it will learn to make more of them, it will build an arm of ice ... and it will be the last day of humanity on this planet..." Soon there was a ringing of a bell at the door. The Doctor cracks his neck, "Stay here ..." He walks out of the room. ____ looks over to the side and follows him out.

"Oi! I told you to stay in there!" "Oh. I didn't listen!" She answers. "You do that a lot." He told her, "That's why you like me!" ____ returns. "Who said I like you?" ____ then grabs his head and pulls him into a kiss. He at first starts to fight by flinging is arms around and pointing at her with wide eyes freaking out over what's happening, but gives in and placed his hands on her arms.
He pulls away from her with a surprised look. "I think you just did!" ____ smiles with bright eyes. "You kissed me!" "You blushed!" ____ states smiling big as she looks into his eyes, "Well ... I ... Shut up." He looks at her fixing his bow tie and walks to the door.

He opens it and there was someone there and he and the Doctor have a starring contest.
"Release her to us, you have five minutes ..." The man leaves, and the Doctor closes the door, "We need to get her out of here and keep her away from them," "How?" ____ asks the Doctor with curiosity, "With this!" He gives her an umbrella, "I always have to state the obvious?"
"Those creatures outside, what where they!?" "They won't be mean to you as long as you get back in there." The Doctor points to James' study room and he walks off. He pulls his screwdriver out and made the force field go off. "What are you doing?!"
"Between you and me, can't wait to find out." The Doctor creates a force field around himself and now ____. "Right you look after everyone her and I- ____!" He sees her right next to him. "Doctor!" ____ calls out as the ice woman starts coming down the stairs taking a swing at them. "You're stupid!" The Doctor calles out as Giselle starts following the two up the stairs, the Doctor taking ____'s hand. "You're stupid too!" ____ states out. "Yeah, but I'm allowed. I'm good at stupid!" The Doctor whines.

"That's the way to do it!" "Why does she keep saying that?!" ____ asks the Doctor as they gain a lead, "Mirroring! Random mirroring! We have to go to the roof!!" He goes back to hit the Ice Woman with the umbrella, but he starts running after ____ grabs his hand. "THIS WAY!!" She shouts guiding him.
"No, I do the hand grabbing! That's my job, that's always me!" He whines as they get to the roof.

"Come on quickly!!" "My bustle is stuck!!" She calls out. "Your bustle!?" He runs over and pulls her out and they fall over, ____ on him. "You're going to have to take those closes off." ____ moves back a bit. "I didn't mean." "I know." "I just." "I understand I do." "Good." "Now what's the plan?" "Who said about a plan?" "Of course you got a plan you took that!" ____ pulls the umbrella over. "Maybe I'm an idiot." They both get up.
