Doctor...Who?

Morning slowly crawls along. As I wake up. I let out a big stretch as I sit up to look out the window and see a car parked in the driveway. "Who's car is that ...?" I ask wondering. Staring out the window a bit but then realizes who the car belongs to, my brother's car. "Oh man!!! I totally forgot that he was coming over!!" I jump out of bed and get some clothes and run into my bathroom to take a shower. The bathroom steaming up from my hot shower
Once I finish I walk out, my hair finally dry from the hair dryer.

I head downstairs to let my brother in, "Hey Dan, sorry for keeping you waiting," "oh that's fine, I knew I should've called before coming over ..." Dan walks in as I close the door, "Wow, you sure have rearranged everything since the last time I was here!"

What.

"Huh? No it should still be the same ..." I walk to where he was in the living room and he was right, everything has moved around and was cleaned. "Whoa ..." I look around surprised.
"What the heck is this thing?" I look over and he's looking at the Tardis. "Oh! Um ... T-that's um ..." He knocks on it, "Why do you have an old telephone booth from London in here?" He asks me and I have no idea what to tell him, "umm ..." "Oi! Hands off the Tardis!" Dan looks over and so do I and there was the Doctor holding some flowers and putting them into a vase.

Dan looks over at me. "Who's this?!" He looks back at the Doctor and Dan of course places his arm around me trying to protect me from him. "Eh! Now hands off her!" The Doctor calls out pointing over to me, "why should I? Now who are you and why the hell are you here?!" "I might ask you the same thing, but I was invited to stay here by ____," the Doctor says and that caused Dan to looks at me, who is looking away knowing that I'm in trouble for this.

"You know this guy?" He asks as I slowly turn to face him, I give him a nod, "Yes I do," I step away from Dan and over to the Doctor, "I did invite him to stay." "Ha!" The Doctor points to Dan, and I push his hand down, "be nice to him. This is Dan my brother." I tell the Doctor and that makes him loosen up,

"Oh your brother ... Well alright." "Dan, this is the Doctor." "Doctor Who?" "No just the Doctor." We both say together, then look at each other with a smile. "Oh! ____ I got you some flowers and I cleaned up a bit for you." The Doctor holds out the vase up to me and I take it, "Thank you Doctor." Smelling the sweet scent of the flowers, a smile grows on my face "Well then ... Like we planned already, we have to go out and see dad and go out for lunch."
Dan walks over to the door, "Okay, let me just get my shoes on ..." I walk over to my shoes and the Doctor follows me, "Not you ..." Dan stops him right there. "Oh Daniel, let him come along,"
"Why?" He asks me, "Because." I get up and walk over to the Doctor, "He's my friend and I want dad to meet him." I smile at the Doctor, and he smiles back at me.
"Alright he can come," Dan opens the door, "I'll meet you at the diner." He says and left.

"Your brother Dan, he hates my presents doesn't he?" The Doctor asks as I get my shoes on. "Oh ... He doesn't like any guy with me." I answer as I get my keys, "Ready to go?" I ask with a smile,
The Doctor fixes his bow tie and smiles at me and grabs my hand as he leads me to the Tardis.

He looks at me with a smile, "I think it's about time I can ask you." He turns to unlock his ship and pushes the doors open. It's dark in there and he walks in first, and I take a few steps in. "It's really dark, Doctor, I can't see anything ..." I state, and then I hear him laugh.

Then all of the lights turn on, and I can see the inside. I look all around, as the Doctor just smiles at me. "This is the Tardis. My ship." Man! This ship is huge!! "Go on say it." "It's has a smaller exterior than the inside ...?" "Okay yet another first." I walk up to him. "This is your ship?!?" He nods proudly, "I've wanted to show you this for a while but never got around to it."

I stand still as I look around, the Doctor walks away but then back again, "____, there's been something I've been meaning to ask you." I look at him so full of life in my eyes that he's showing me this, "what is it?" He looks down and pulls out a key, "This." I focus on the key and would spare him a glance, "I wanted to give it to someone else before she ... you know." I look into his eyes. "I've been around for quite some time, and you see things and meet people, those people will travel along with me an-" "Yes." He looks at me surprised but then a big smile appears on his face. "I'll go with you." I say and then pull him a hug.

He pulls away and takes my hand, "Please take care of this ... While you travel along side with me." He places the key in my hand and then closes my hand. "I will." I nod and hold my hand to my heart. That causes him to smile more, but he then moves to look at the control dock. "Let's get you to where you need to go!" He starts going around flipping switches and stuff as the doors shut and the Tardis starts to make its noise as the Tardis vanished. The Tardis settles down a bit.
The Doctor looks at me, "I'm sorry if it's all happening too fast, it's just, I've been all by myself for quite some time, and that woman I was traveling with ... well she was always around to cheer me up." "She was there for you when you needed it?" I question as I look down at my hand and then at him.
He gives a nod and I walk over to him so I can place my hand on his cheek, I stroke his cheek, "I understand how it feels when you lose someone very special to you and I would be honored to travel with you Doctor." I tell him before giving him a quick kiss on the cheek. I stroke where I kissed his cheek with my thumb, just before the Tardis starts to land.
