Eric Simmons , Climber's Log , 16,800 feet . Lhando is the highest city in the world , the gateway to the Himalayas . Its a religious city , ruled by the monks of the Chod sect of the Buddhist religion , and home to the intensely superstitious Sherpas , the toughest , most skilled climbing guides in the world . But now this normally bustling city is deserted , the stores are shuttered , the streets bare , I had to bribe a truck driver to bring me here , and no amount of money could persuade him to actually enter the city . Something has caused the Sherpas to flee their beloved mountain , which will only make it harder for me to find my brother , Frank . Now here I am , on the edge of a deserted city , desperately needing answers , and without a clue how to find Edward Bennett's house . So situation normal , I guess , completely screwed up .
