Chapter 3

Luke pov.

After taking Katrina to her room I started thinking about how she is not old enough to be in the gang. You have to be eighteen or older to be in the gang and live in the gang house. But Katrina is only sixteen and I am not just going to kick her out on the street after killing her parents. I said "what am I going to do" out loud and Mk one of the member of my gang hear me and said "are you talking about that girl Katrina". I looked at Mk and said "she sixteen Mk and I don't want to kick her out" Mk smiled at me and started to walk away but stopped and said "why don't you just adopt her, then she will have to live here and the gang will protect her too" and Mk just walked away. This is why Mk is the smarts of the gang because that was a great idea I will adopt Katrina. I called for Patrick and Gar to come to my office. I hear a knock at the door and told them to come in. After they came in I told them that I was going to adopt Katrina and they got so excited almost like they were little kid that just got a new puppy. I told them that I needed to fill out the paperwork to adopt Katrina, so I told them to go deal with our friend in the basement and get him to talk. They said okay boss and left the room. I was filling out the papers and thinking about how excited they got and it made me smile. Which I know the reason Gar and Patrick got so excited it's because they think of this gang as one big happy family and to the fact that they are going to be big brothers to their new little sister. I know that those two will love Katrina so much and that they would protect her with their lives. Which is why I told them that I was adopting Katrina first, I will tell the other after I get the paperwork done and sent in. One hour later I got the paperwork done and had Molly and Mk take it to the adoption place. I was down in the basement waiting for them to return and watching Patrick and Gar betting up our friend trying to get him to talk. The dudes face was covered in blood from being punched and it made me smile. Gar pulled out his knife and Patrick said "you better start talking or his knife is going in your leg" the man shook his head no. Gar took his knife and stabbed the dude in the leg three times and the dude was screaming at the top of his lungs in pain with made me happy. Until the dude smiled and started to laugh like a crazy person and it made me angry. The dude coughed up some blood, then looked right at me and said "Luke, Do you want to know why I came here?" I got up and punched the dude in the face and said "yes I would so tell me". The dude said "I came to see if she was still alive for my boss" I punched him again saying "What do you mean for your boss" the dude smiled again and said "let me see Katrina and she can tell you a little bit of what I mean". I got mad and punched the guy in the face over and over again until Patrick and Gar pulled me off the guy and I calmed down some and said "fine I will go get Katrina, you two get him cleaned up so Katrina won't have to see all the blood". I started back upstairs to go get Katrina but I looked down at my hand to that they are cover in blood so I went to the bathroom and washed my hands. After that I went to Katrina room and when I open the door I see Jp and Katrina making out I was mad at first but then I thought about how I know that Jp would protect her and was happy for the two of them. I told Katrina to come sit by me and that I had some exciting news.

     

Katrina pov.

Luke said "Katrina I have some exciting news.... I just adopted you" I was shocked by what Luke said but I was happy at the same time and I think Jp was the same way by the look on his face. I hugged Luke then thought of something and said "does this mean I have to call you Dad now". When I said that I think my question might have embarrassed Luke because his face turned bright red and he was just looking at the floor. After a few seconds Luke looked at me and said "if you want to you can, but you don't have to" I smiled and said "okay". But my smile quickly faded away when I looked at Luke to see a worried expression, I asked Luke "whats wrong". Luke took a deep breath and said "that guy you shot said he knows you and will only talk if he get to see you" I could see a bit of fear on Luke's face as he talked and that made me scared. I wanted to help Luke get the guy to talk and I want to know how this guy knows me. I looked at Luke with a strong smile trying to hide my fear and said "if it gets the guy to talk then take me to see him" and Jp did not like what I said. Jp jumped up and yelled "Luke you're not actually going to take Katrina down in that basement to see that guy, are you" I was looking at Jp then I looked back at Luke. Luke stood up from the bed and said "Yes Jp I am and your not going to say another word got it" Jp nodded his head yes and sat back down. Luke turned back to me and said "Katrina follow me and please remember that we are the scariest gang in the world and that I'm sorry for what you are going to see in the basement". Luke walk out the door and I followed him. I was afraid at first to go see this guy but now I am just scared of what could be in the basement. I follow Luke to a blood red door and when he opened the door there was stairs that led down into the dark. As we walked down the stair I looked around to see metal cages and bloody tools on the walls and a bunch of guns. Luke led me to one of the cages that had someone in it tied to a chair and two guys standing outside of the cage. The guy tied to the chair had his head down so I could not see his face. The two guys that was standing outside of the cage was talking to each other but stopped when Luke said "boys I'm back". They both turn to see Luke and then me hiding behind Luke. When they saw me they both ran and pulled me into a big hug and yelled "little sister" they scared me at first but after I heard what they said I hugged back and said "big brothers". They let me go and the tall one said "my name is Patrick but you can call me Pat if you want and the guy next to me is Gar, We are your new big brothers" I smiled at them and said "hi I'm Katrina and I guess I'm your new little sister". I turn to see Luke with a smile on his face and I thought to myself I'm going to be happy here. But all our smiles faded away when we heard a evil laugh come from the guy in the cage. We all looked at the guy in the cage to see what he is laughing at. The guy stopped laughing and said "it's be a long time kitty Kat" with that he lifted his head up and looked me in the eyes. I was filled with fear because I did know who the guy was. I was so afraid that I felt tears running down my face and I turn to run away but I got grabbed by Luke. I started kicking and screaming trying to get away but Luke pulled me closer to his chest and whisper "it okay Katrina I got you, just calm down".

I calmed down some and I still had tears in my eyes but Luke wiped them away and said "Katrina tell me who he is please?".
