Chapter 7

Luke Pov.

             When Gar told me that Jonathan was here and needed to talk. I knew that it was go to be about killing Jay ace, so I headed straight to my office. When I got to my office I see that Jon did not come alone and that Tyler is sitting next to him. I walked in and sat in my chair and said "Hello Jon, Tyler what good news do you bring me?". Both of them looked happy but worried at the same time. Jon looked up at me and said "Jay ace and his gang are dead" "that's good" I said "But we weren't the ones that killed them" Tyler said which had me confused. "If you didn't kill them then who did" I said, Tyler took a deep breath and said "we don't know, but this is the third Gang to get killed off this month" now I know why they looked so worried. "So by the sound of it we need to be on top guard" I said and they both nodded their heads yes. "Is that all you came to talk about" I said and Jon shook his head no and Tyler layed something on my desk that belonged to Rose. It was a locket necklace that was shaped like a star and had a rose on the front, I felt tears forming in my eyes and I said "Where did you get this from?" Tyler stood up from his chair and said "Boss I'm going to head back to the house, so you two can talk alone" and with that Tyler left the room. Jon was looking at the ground, not saying anything until I said "Jon please look at me" Jon looked up at me and said "I told Tyler that you found Katrina and told him to go to the Kings house to look for something that might have belonged to Rose. Because I knew that Rose would not have just left Katrina without leaving something to remember her and you by. And when Tyler got back he handed me that and I thought it was just a necklace. Until I open it". Jon looked back down at the ground and had tears in his eyes. I looked at the locket that was in my hand and put my thumb on the rose and pushed. The locket open up and showed a picture of me and Rose and Rose is holding a little baby Katrina. I had tears running down my face but yet I was smiling because Rose looked so happy in the picture holding Katrina. " Rose always wanted a family. But no matter how hard we try she just could not get pregnant, we went to a doctor and he said that Rose couldn't have kids. Rose heart was broken and her dream of a family died, until nine month after Valentines day. I took Rose to the hospital and she went into labor and in just an hour Rose dream of a family came true. This picture is from that day because Rose couldn't stop smiling at Katrina" I said and when I looked up at Jon he was smiling and crying at the same time. Jon got up from his chair and walked over to me and gave me a big hug I started to hug back. Until there was a knock at my door and Jon let go of me, wiped his eyes and quickly sat back down. I yelled "come in" but the person outside the door yelled back "my hands are full I can't get the door open" the voice sounded like Katrina. So I closed the locket and pointed at Jon to go get the door, Jon got up to open the door and sure enough Katrina walked in but she had two plates of food in her hands. I asked "what is this for" and Katrina said "because you weren't at dinner so I decided to bring you both a plate of food to eat" Katrina looked at Jon and there must have been something that clicked in her mind because she smiled and said hello to Jon. Katrina walked over to my desk and placed the plate of food in front of me and put Jon's plate on the other side of my desk so Jon could pull his chair up to eat. I looked at Katrina getting ready to say thank you but Katrina had a blank face and was staring at something on my desk and it had me a little worried that she saw something bad. "Katrina are you okay, what's wrong" I asked, but what Katrina had to said would shocked both me and Jon. Katrina said "That is Ros- My Mother's locket, why do you have it?". Did she start to say Rose or something else.

Katrina Pov.

           "My hands are full I can't get the door open" I yelled through the door of Luke's office hoping at someone would open the door. The doorknob started to move and the door was open by a man wearing a blue jacket, just like the man in my dream was wearing, now to find out if his name is Jonathan. Luke asked me a question about the plates and I answer him. I walked to Luke desk to put the plates down and the blue jacket man started eating right away. I was going to ask Luke a question but something on his desk catches my eyes it was the locket that Rose gave me when I was little. Luke saw me staring and asked "Katrina are you okay, what's wrong" my head was spinning trying to think of something to say and I said "That is Ros- My Mother's locket, why do you have it?". Luke and the other man where both staring at me like I said something bad. Luke picked up the locket and started to hand it to me and when I reached for it he pulled it away and said "who's name where you about to say before you said my Mother?".

              I looked at Luke with widened eyes and was thinking do I tell him the name or do I not and just leave the room. I made up my mind and I ran for the door. When I started to open the door someone ran up behind me and slammed their hand on the door shutting it. I was a little bit scared by what just happened and I slowly turned around to see who's hand was on the door, stopping me from running and it was the man in the blue jacket. "Katrina why did you try to run from us" the blue jacket man said with a small smirk on his face, I just looked down at the ground not wanting to answer that. Until I looked up in fear from hearing Luke say "Katrina come here" I did not want to move so I shook my head no and I jump a little when Luke raised his voice at me and said "Right Now Katrina". I slowly started to walk towards Luke, when I was right in front of him, he sighed and pulled me onto his lap. Luke hugged me and said "I'm sorry for yelling, but why did you run from the ques-" I cut him off by saying "Rose" Luke looked me in the eyes and said "what was that" I sighed and said "The locket belonged to a woman named Rose, who I think is my real Mother, but I don't know". I looked away from Luke trying my best not to shed any tears. But Luke put his finger under my chin and made me look at him and he asked "What makes you think she is your Mother" I felt one tear run down my face and I said "Because I had a dream that felt so real, like it was from my past. I saw me as a baby being held by Rose and my Daddy called Starfire. Then I remember I had a uncle named Jonathan and the night that there were gunshots and Daddy yelled for us to Run. But the one thing is that I remember my Mommy leaving me at someone's door and giving me her locket and she said remember that Mommy and Daddy love me very much. So I thought that Rose might be my Mother and maybe you are my real Father, But I didn't want to get my hopes up". By the end of telling Luke what was on my mind, I was looking down at the floor trying to avoid eye contact with them. When I heard the blue jacket man say "you remember that my name is Jonathan" I looked up at him and saw he was smiling and had some tears in his eyes. His name is Jonathan and he is Luke's brother, so that means Luke has to be my Father. I turned my head to look at Luke to ask him if it was true. But Luke must have been able to read my mind because he said "It's true Starfire, I'm your Dad" I had tears in my eyes, I hugged Luke and I didn't want to let go of him. Luke hugged me back and said "I never stopped looking for you and Rose ever since the day I told you guys to run, I thought that you were both dead. But then I found you with the Kings and I was just so happy to have you back with me" Luke was crying and I did not like seeing him cry, so I took my hand and wiped his eyes and then he wiped my eyes. I was still sitting on Luke's lap when he picked up the locket and put it around my neck. I looked down at the locket holding it in one hand and Jon said "open it" when I opened it I smiled and saw Baby me being held by Rose and Luke and we all looked so happy. I closed the locket and I felt like I was finally home. But my mind was still racing with question that I wanted to ask 'like where is Rose' but my question can wait because I don't want to ruin this moment. "Luke, what do we tell the other" I asked and Luke got me off his lap and stood up saying "we tell them the truth Katrina" I nodded my head yes and we started to walk to the door. When Jon said "don't worry some of them already know a little" I was confused by what he meant until Jon opened the door to find Pat, Gar and Jp eavesdropping on us. After they saw us they took off running and Jon went chasing after them which made me and Luke giggle and made me think 'children' and Luke said "come on Katrina". I follow Luke to the living room and when we got there we found Gar and Jp on the floor with Jon and Pat on the couch and they all were breathing hard. I smiled and sat on the floor by Jp and Jp laid his head on my lap and I started to play with his hair. I heard Pat and Gar say "Awwww" my face turned bright red and I told him to "shut up" which they didn't. Until Luke slapped them both in the back of the head and yelled throughout the house "Gang Meeting In The Living Room". After everyone got to the living room Luke told them the truth and they were all surprised but happy. I love my new family.
