Chapter 6

Katrina Pov.

              I looked at Luke with tears already forming in my eyes and said "when Andrew kidnap me, I kick him in the nuts trying to get away from him but he came chasing after me. I ran into the woods hoping to lose him but he was faster and tackled me to the ground.  He tied my hands above my head and picked me up I thought he was taking me back to the car. But instead he tied a longer rope to my hands and then tied the rope to a tree branch high enough that my feet could not touch the ground. I was just hanging there and he pulled out a knife and just started stabbing me in the side over and over again and again. I was screaming and screaming and it hurt, it hurt so...".  "Just stop" I stopped talking when Luke pulled me into a hug and told me to stop. Luke could tell that I was a mess talking about what happened to me. One is because I was a crying mess, I was having a hard time controlling my breathing which was giving me a headache and second is because I started to repeat some of the words I was saying which only happens when I am scared or in pain. I felt Luke hug me tighter which made me feel safe and helped me calm down,and control my breathing. I felt so warm and happy in Luke's arms like I could almost fall asleep and I started to fall asleep but then I heard Luke giggle a little which made me wake up. I looked up at Luke and asked "what's funny" and Luke picked me up, laying me in bed under the covers and said "You, almost falling asleep in my arms".  After Luke said that I pulled the covers over my head to hide which made Luke giggle again. Luke pulled the covers off my head and said "get some rest Katrina and I will come get you when food is done" I just nodded my head okay and started to closed my eyes. When Luke leaned down to kiss my head and said "sweet dreams my little Starfire". My eyes were opened just a little bit when I thought to myself Starfire why does that name sound so familiar to me. With that I fell asleep to have a dream that would make me remember something from my past I think but will make me so confused and think that my parents lied to me about my life.

 "Katrina Dream"

      "Wait where am I and why is it so dark?" *A purple door appears* "what is that?" Katrina walks to the door and open it to see a baby room that was painted for a girl. Katrina stepped into the room and heard crying coming from the baby crib and then heard footsteps coming. Katrina did not know what to do when the door opened and showed a man and woman but their faces were blurred. The man spoke in a voice that sound familiar and said "what's wrong baby starfire". Katrina was confused until she thought of something "Luke is that you?" When Katrina said that she learned that the people could not hear or see her. The woman walked to the crib and picked up the baby and said "Shhh it okay Katrina mommy and daddy got you, you're okay". "Wait that's me" Katrina was looking at the baby and new for a fact that was her from when she was little. But she did not know who the people are or did she. Everything went dark again and *A blue door appears* "I don't understand what is happening and why do I feel like this is real and happened in my past" Katrina got no answer and walked to the blue door and walked in. Katrina jumped when she hear people yell "surprise" Katrina looked around and saw more people but their faces were blurred. All but one and it was Katrina has a baby sitting with a cake in front of her that has a number three on it. "I remember this, this is when I met my uncle Jonathan for the first time. Wait I don't have a uncle Jonathan do I?" Katrina watch has the man that said Starfire pick up the baby and carried it to the man in the blue jacket and said "Starfire this is your uncle Jonathan". The blue jacket man held the baby and smiled happily until the baby started to cry. Everything went dark again and *A blood red door appears* Katrina just stairs at the door "Why the door have to be blood red?" Katrina sighs and slowly started to walks to the door but as she got closer she could heard the sound of crying getting louder and then Katrina stopped right in front of the door "It was movie night when Daddy said..." Katrina stopped talking when the sound of gunshot could be heard from the other side of the door. Katrina open the door and ran inside to find four year old her crying and being held by Mommy "The woman's name is Rose" Katrina heard another gunshot and turned around to see a man laying on the ground. Katrina had tears running down her face "Run, just Run". The man looked up at Rose and little Katrina and yelled "RUN". Rose took off running holding little Katrina. Everything went dark again but this time *A house appears* "wait this is the Kings house" Katrina started to walk towards it when she heard footsteps coming and coming fast. Katrina turned around and saw Rose holding little Katrina and running. Rose ran to the door and sat little Katrina in front of it. With tears in her eyes Rose took off her locket necklace and put it on little Katrina and said "don't forget that mommy and daddy love you very much okay". "Please mommy don't leave me" Rose knocked on the door and then took off running when little Katrina yelled "Please Mommy don't leave me" but Rose didn't look back. Mrs. King opened the door and saw little Katrina and carried her inside. Everything went dark again and Katrina saw her whole life with the King gang flash before her eyes. "My whole life was a lie".

            I was woken up from my dream by someone shaking me and the smell of food. When I opened my eyes I see Luke standing over top of me. I remember my dream and I jumped out of bed tackling Luke to the ground hugging him. I heard Luke groan in pain from getting tackled and he asked "what was that for?" I was going to tell him but then I thought to myself what if he don't remember me. So I lied and said "because I'm glad you adopted me into your family Dad". Luke looked sad when I said adopted but smiled and hugged me when I called him Dad, so maybe he does remember me. Luke pushed me off of him and we both stood up and Luke said "come on dinner is ready" I started to walk out of the room when my side started to hurt and made me fall to the ground in pain. I guess I was so happy about the dream and wanting food that I forgot all about my side being hurt. Someone ran to my side and picked me up off the ground holding me in their arms which I thought maybe it was Luke. But the way the arms were holding me didn't feel like the way Luke would hold me. I had my eyes shut from the pain but I wanted to know who was holding me so I opened my eyes and it was not Luke that was holding me. "Jp" I said and he smiled at me and I smiled back at him. I was so happy to see Jp again but when I looked into his eyes I could see that he was upset, worried and has been crying. I wanted to show him that I was okay so I did the one thing I could think of, I put my arms around his neck and pulled him into a kiss. He was surprised at first but then he kissed back and I felt like I was in heaven. It was like time was frozen and it was just me and him. And I wished that was true because I heard a click noise and pulled away from the kiss just to see Pat and Gar in the doorway with a camera taking a picture of me and Jp kissing. I was about to say something but then Gar said "come on you lovebirds the foods getting cold, oh and Luke your brother is here to see you" Luke just nodded his head and left the room, which I forgot that he was in the room with us. Jp started to carry me down the stairs when I heard Pat say "you guys do make a cute couple". My face turned a bright red so I hide my face in Jp's chest then I heard a bunch of "Awww" and "how cute" I looked up and saw the whole gang smiling and looking at me and Jp, which made my face go even redder. We all sat down to eat dinner and I sat next to Jp but when I looked around the table I did not see Luke. So I asked in a quiet voice "where is Luke at?" but I guess no one heard me until someone said "he is in his office talking with his Brother" I turned around and saw that it was Wade talking. I turned back around in my seat and thought to myself 'Luke is talking to his Brother, In the dream Luke's brother name is Jonathan, So this is how I make sure Luke is my real dad is if his brother's name is Jonathan, then Luke has to be my real dad. But then where is my mom Rose at'. "Katrina, Hey Katrina, Hello in there" my thought were broken by someone saying my name. I looked up and saw a dude with red hair talking to me. I said "um yes what is it" he smiled at me and said "are you just going to stair at your food or are you going to eat and by the way my name is Mark" I looked back down at my food and said "yes I am going to eat and it's nice to meet you Mark". I started to eat and it was so good which I have not ate in a long time. As I was eating everyone in the gang told me their names and a little bit about themselves. After I got done eating I asked Wade who is the cook to make me to plates of food to take to Luke and his Brother. Wade made the plates and told me where Luke's office is and I started to head to Luke's office in hope of finding out the truth of my life.
