Chapter 4

Katrina Pov.

I didn't want to tell Luke who he was or what happened to me. But I took a deep breath and said "when I was ten a big man came and try to buy me from my father. But my father said No and it made the big man angry to the point that he sent that man there to kidnap me. His name is Andrew and his boss name is Jay Ace. After he kidnap me he took me to his boss and said that I was the boss new toy. I was with them for two mouth and all they did was abused me. My father finally came and save me. But the big man still kept coming and trying to get me back." After I told Luke what happen to me I was in his arms and crying into his chest. Andrew the guy in the cage started laughing because of me crying and said "aww the baby kitty Kat is crying just because I slapped her around when she would not do what the boss said boo hoo". What he said made me cry more and it made Luke and my new brothers angry. I was scared, crying, and angry at the same time and just thinking about him being tied up and how easily I could just punch him in the face like he did to me. But what didn't help was Andrew said "How is your scar kitty Kat? Does it still hurt?" that is where I finally snapped. I pushed Luke away with tear still in my eyes, ran into the cage and with all the power I had I punch him in the face over and over again. As I punch him, his face became all bloody and so did my fist. With every punch he still had that evil smile on his face and it made me angrier. I was so angry that I forgot about the three guys that was watching me. Until I felt two strong arms go around my waist and pulled me away from the guy. I looked up to see that it was Luke and then looked down to see my hands covered in blood. My body started shaking at the site of my hands and I had tears running down my face again from fear of what I just did. Luke looked me in the eyes with a smile on his face and then looked back at the bloody face that I gave Andrew still smiling. I saw that Gar and Pat were smiling too and Gar looked at me and said "good job Katrina, Luke I like this girl she got some fight in her" which made me smile. Until Andrew coughed up some blood and said "Nice punching kitty Kat, but you know that my Boss will be coming for you now that your father is gone, there is no one to protect you". Gar and Pat walked over to me and Luke pulled me closer to his chest and said "your boss will die if he ever touches Katrina". Andrew smile fade away and I said "my father might be die, but I have a new Dad and family that will protect me" and I hugged tight onto Luke which made Andrew mad and start yelling. Luke said "leave him to yell" and Gar and Pat walked out of the cage with Luke behind them. I started to walk out of the cage when Andrew somehow got free from the ropes. He grabbed me and started to punch me in the side where the scar was that he left so long ago and it hurt. Pat and Gar grabbed him off of me and I fell to the floor in pain and everything started to go black. I felt someone picking me up and running but I didn't know who it was and darkness took me.

Next thing I know is that I am waking up in my bed. I tried to get up but pain shot through my body and I screamed falling back down in bed. I tried to get up again with the same pain but this time I felt hands push me back down in bed. I looked up to see two women with worried

looks on their faces and to the side I see a first-aid kit. I tried to move again but they just held me down and the one with blond hair said "please stop moving your just going to make it worse". I stopped moving and the brown haired one said "my name is Mk and this is Molly she is the nurse of the gang" I said hello and told them my name. I looked down to see at I am in a sports bra and a pair of shorts and that my side is wrapped in bandages. I looked at Molly and she said "I'm going to change your bandages now okay" and I nodded my head okay. Molly started to take them off when Luke walked into the room and sat on the bed and held my hand watching Molly take the bandages off. When the bandages were all off I could see that half my side was purple and blue. I felt Luke squeeze my hand and I looked up to see the most feared gang leader with tears in his eyes and a sad look on his face. I felt bad that he had tears in his eye because of me. I slowly sat up, groaned in pain and Luke gave me a worried look and said "Katrina you need to stay sti.." I interrupted him talking by hugging him. I felt Luke hug me back and I heard him said "I'm sorry Katrina, I'm so sorry that you got hurt" I wanted to cry because of what Luke said but I had to stay strong for him. I let go of Luke and he let go of me with a few tears still in his eyes. I put a small smile on my face and took my hand wiping his tears away saying "Luke its okay, I'm fine" Luke looked at me still with a sad look on his face. I did not understand why he cared so much about me, I have only been here two days and then he adopted me as his own kid, not knowing anything about who I was, but yet I trust him and feel safe with him around. I got so deep into my thought that I did not know what was happening around me. Until I was snapped out of my thought by someone touching my side, I jump a little bit and saw that Luke had moved from the one side of the bed to the other and was rubbing his hand over my side. Luke looked up at me then back down to my side and said "I want all of you to leave the room" I did not know what he meant by that until I looked around and saw my two brothers, Jp, Molly, Mk and a few more people I don't know yet. They all turned and walked out of the room but one, he was very tall and had a beard. He spoke with a deep voice and said "Boss do you want me to go cook something for miss Katrina, since she has not ate in a long time" Luke looked at him and said "yes Wade, go make her some soup". With that the guy named Wade felt shutting the door behind him. I looked at Luke to see that he was still just looking at my side but this time he had a weird look on his face. I touched Luke's hand to get his attention and said "L-Luke what did the Wade guy mean by have not ate in a long time?". I think at Luke didn't want to answer my question because he could not look me in the eyes when he said "Katrina you have been out cold laying in this bed for seven days and I thought that you weren't going to wake up after I just got you back again". That's when I realised why Luke was crying when I woke up it's because he thought I was going to die after he just got me back again. Wait Luke said just got me back again what does he mean by again, this is the first time I have ever met him or was it. I wanted to ask Luke about it but he did not want to answer my first question so I ain't going to ask him right now, I will ask him later about it. I head started hurting from all the question that I had and wanted to ask Luke about but I know right now is not a good time. I felt Luke ran his fingers along my side again but this time in a certain spot that made me remember things from my past. Luke ran his fingers over that spot again and said "Andrew asked you if your scar still hurts, so I am guessing this scar is from him" Luke looked up at me and I nodded my head yes. Then Luke asked "can you tell me why he did this to you?". I was frozen by what Luke asked me because it was part of my past that I wished to forget. But I trusted Luke and maybe telling someone about what happened will help me feel better. I looked at Luke with tears already forming in my eyes and said "when Andrew kidnap me, I kick him in the nuts trying to get away from him but he.....
