Chapter 7 : A family reunited

 After their trip to the familiar forest, everyone had gone home to catch some sleep for the night. Y/N who's home was the farthest away from the academy had just come back home to be meet by Kuroka.

"Good evening Y/N, how was the familiar forest?" Kuroka asked him with a tired smile.

"The place was cool, but the familiar master was weird. You know you shouldn't have stay up waiting for me if you were tired Kuroka." Y/N responded with his own smile.

"I just wanted to know what type of familiar you would choose, I was thinking that you would take a dragon." Kuroka explained.

"I didn't get any familiar, I'll probably get one next time, but I did get something very valuable." Y/N replied.

"Oh, and what's this valuable object? I'm curious to see what it is since you seem happier than before." Kuroka asked her sleepiness washed away by her curiosity.

"Hope." Y/N replied cryptically, confusing Kuroka, as he left for his house garage.

Kuroka confused yet curious about what Y/N said followed him. It only took a few moments for the two of them to reach their destination and for Y/N to start working.

Kuroka stood beside the door leading from their house to the garage and silently observed Y/N. The first thing she noticed was the unknown and radically different magical barrier he made, it didn't resemble any she had seen before as it seem its function rather than preventing someone to walk into its boundary was to make sure that no fluctuation in the level of mana could be detected.

'This barrier is quite powerful, it seems as thou its design to hide any burst of mana from the outside world but why does he need it?' Kuroka asked to herself as she saw Y/N draw what appear to be three summoning circles in triangular pattern within a larger circle using chalks.

Then Kuroka witnessed Y/N summoned various weapons in his hands before placing them on the summoning circles. The first two weapons she saw Y/N summon were the spiral sword Y/N had called Caladbolg and a black Japanese style bow, she saw him place them in a cross shaped pattern in the middle of one of the circles before she saw him summon and place by the handle of Caladbolg, his twin swords Kanshou & Bakuya.

Y/N, once he had placed four of his weapons in one of the three circle, moved to a second circle and placed at its center the blade Kuroka recognize as Clarent. She had witnessed him train with this sword and she knew that this blade was important to Y/N due to how much care he treated it but she didn't know its story.

Finally, Kuroka saw Y/N move to the third and final circle and she felt the devil side in her tremble in fear as she saw the weapons Y/N summoned. The first weapon was a long yet thin two handed sword of blue, silver and gold that radiated with holy energy.

'An Excalibur fragment? No that's impossible, this blade is probably more powerful than Collbrande itself, King Arthur's sword in the stone.' Kuroka thought to herself.

If she was shocked by the second and third weapon Y/N summoned, two blades of similar shape but different color, one was made of gold, silver and blue, much like the first blade while being longer and slightly wider, and gave off an aura of holy energy much stronger than the first blade whereas the second sword was of black and red and gave an aura of unholy energy equally that of its holy twin.

The final weapon Y/N summoned was a blue and white lance that gave off an aura of holy magic that surpassed the combined aura of Y/N's two holy blade. She knew any of these four weapon could kill her with as little as a single scratch but she couldn't suppress the soothing feeling her soul felt.
