(S2) Chapter 2 : Devils vs Exorcists vs Prince

When Kiba had stated earlier in the Occult Research Club's room that he would take on Xenovia, it had made Rias worried for him while Y/N seemed to remain neutral to Kiba statement, where in truth he wasn't.

Y/N wanted Kiba to realize that his friends that had died during the Holy Sword Project of the Church wanted him to live and that him wanting to avenge them would render their sacrifice meaningless, but seeing Kiba's hatred toward the two exorcists and their swords made him realize that it would not be that simple.

In fact, in his opinion, Y/N thought that if he tried to intervene in this part of Highschool DxD second season it would have unpredictable effects on the future that might lead to Kiba either hating him or even becoming a stray in the worst case scenario.

Right now Y/N, the Occult Research Club, and the two exorcists stood outside of the old school building and everyone was looking at the soon to begin battle between Issei and Kiba against Xenovia and Irina.

"Alright then, let's begin." Xenovia said with a serious look while standing in front of Kiba before she and Irina, who was in a similar position as her friend and comrade but with Issei, removed their white cloaks, revealing their black leather suits.

When they did Y/N's widen at the way they were dressed. 'Oh great! The church has perverts as designers for their female exorcists' uniform.' Y/N thought in exasperation at the number of perverts this world had.

"Are you sure it is alright to fight the people of the Church without permission?" Akeno asked Rias with a worried look.

"It is just an informal bout, not an actual official battle." Rias replied with her own worried look as the four fighters were getting themselves ready.

"If the higher-ups found out, then we're all in trouble." Irina stated with a smile as grabbed the white cloth that was tied to her arm in doing so turning it into a katana while she took a fighting stance.

"We will do our best not to kill you." Xenovia said with a serious look before she unwrapped her sword and took her own stance.

Kiba started to laugh at Xenovia's statement which confused her.

"What so funny?" Xenovia asked with a confused look.

"It is because the one thing I wanted to destroy has appeared willingly before my eyes." Kiba responded with a smirk before many demonic swords appeared beside him.

"Sword Birth. Now I remember, you are the sole survivor of the Holy Sword Project." Xenovia spoke with a neutral look.

Meanwhile, Issei and Irina were about to start their own fight when Irina spoke. "Issei, it is totally you." Irina said with a sad look but with star in her eyes.

"Yeah, so what?" Issei asked with an annoyed look.

"I feel like fate is making fun of me. The friend I grew up with became a devil. Why is this happening?" Irina spoke with a sad expression which made Issei deadpanned.

"My one goal is to wield a Holy Sword, move far away and help those around me. God must be testing my will to overcome this dramatic heartbreak. If I prove that I am strong enough then I can be that much closer to him." Irina ranted with her sad expression.

"I'm pretty sure this doesn't get anything to do with you but whatever." Issei said with a deadpanned look.

"I'm really sorry Issei. This hurts me much more than it hurts you but your sins will suffer the wrath of my Excalibur." Irina said, her sad look replaced by an excited one before she charged at Issei who got ready to fight as he summoned his Boosted Gear.
