Invitation

Elise's POV:
After I had woke up I got a shower and dressed. I went down stairs and could smell breakfast being made. I saw a lady standing at the stove cooking some pancakes. I saw Axel walk over and hug her from behind. I just leaned against the doorway. He looked towards the door and smiled. "Sandra you know the girl I was telling you about. The one that used to live here and came back?" She smiled and continued to cook. "Yes I remember you telling me about her. Why are you asking me?" He turned her around to see me. "Well I wanted you to meet her. You will be helping her feel welcome. You can do that can't you dear?" She laughs and comes over to me. She pulls me into a hug and I just stand there shocked. She let go and chuckled a bit. "I'm sorry I am quite the hugger around here. I am Sandra I will be somewhat in charge. I will help you if you need it and introduce you to anyone." I give a small smile and walk off. Axel looks at Sandra and smiles. "She's trying to adjust to being back here. The poor thing hasn't ever let her wolf out in years. Ever since she left she hasn't used her wolf." Sandra looked shocked and went back to cooking. I walk outside and I try to see if I could be alone for a while. Just as I sat down on the top stair I got interrupted. I suddenly saw a boy pop out of nowhere. He was laughing and running away and then towards me. He could tell he scared me when he popped out. He came over to me and looked down at me. "Hey sorry I didn't mean to scare you. You're the new girl right? My name is Jack I was just messing around with my brother. May I know your name new girl?" I just look at him. "It's Elise." I then get up and walk away. I turn around and I see him tackle his brother. I went into the woods to sit and think about my decision. Axel wants me to join but I'm not sure if I want to. As I was sitting I heard a twig snap. Of course in the woods there will be snapping twigs, but this had the scent of a wolf. I stood up and looked around and saw a huge brown wolf. He was growling and snarling at me. I saw the look in his eyes and he was ready to attack. I would have turned but to be honest I forgot how. I know what you're thinking, how can a werewolf forget how to turn? Well I haven't in years and I overthrew my inner wolf. I just stood there in fear and then I heard about 8 more wolves. They howled and then I heard howls behind me. As I looked behind me I saw Axel running towards me yelling for me to turn and run. The then turned and jumped over me and growled. He looked at me and I could tell by the look in his eyes he wanted me to leave. I saw the whole pack run out of the house. They all turned and ran to me. I was still stuck in fear and I saw the boy jack running. He was in human form and pulled me back. "What are you doing? You need to be in wolf form." I looked at him and almost broke down. I looked down and told him the truth. "I can't turn I have forgotten how to." He looks shocked as does everyone else. Even though they are in wolf form I can tell they were shocked. Axel looked at me with sadness in his eyes. And that's when the other wolves attack. He fought back and everyone started attacking. Jack grabbed my hand and started running towards the house. I thought in my head 'not again not another attack.' When we got to the house he let go of my hand. "Stay here I will be right back." He went to turn around and I grabbed the back of his shirt. I closed my eyes and tears started to roll down my cheeks. I started to shake and he looked at me. "D-don't go please." I just stood there and he grabbed my hand off of his shirt. I opened my eyes and looked at him. I saw the look of pity in his eyes. At that moment he walked past me and sat down on the stairs. I followed him and sat beside him. I tried to tune out the sound of snarling and yelps. I tried not to remember my past but I started having flashbacks. I started seeing my parents fighting. My family being killed by another pack. I started to cry more and I curl into a ball. Jack noticed and put his arm around me and hugged me. After about 5 minutes I heard the pack coming back from the fight. I opened my eyes and I saw Axel standing in front of me. "Elise we need to talk privately if you don't mind. Follow me I don't want any ears listening." I nod and I get up and look down at jack. "Thank you for staying with me." He smiles at me and I turn around and follow Axel. We went pretty far into the woods and we end up in a small field. He turns to face me and I stop where I am. "Elise how long have you gone without changing?" I look down and back up at him. "Well they were killed when I was 10 so I guess about 7 years." He looks at me shocked and looks down and sighs. He looks back up at me and puts his hands on my shoulders. He looks at me as though I'm a child. My mother did tell him to watch over me so I guess it fits. "Elise you have to learn to transform again. We will help you transform here at this spot. I am the only one who knows what kind of wolf you are. Right now if anyone else was to find out they would freak out." From that day we started to try and get me to transform.
