He knows

Elise's POV:
After jack gave me the tour he let me follow to the first class. I could sense that a lot of the people in there were normal. I could smell maybe two or three other wolves in there but not many. As the teacher was talking my attention went out the window. I saw someone with two other people and one was a wolf. I started to drift off in attention from the teacher. She was calling my name and I didn't hear her. Jack tapped me on the shoulder and I snapped back out of space. "Miss Daniels would you please pay attention to what I am saying?" I look around and back at her. "Yes ma'am." She then crosses her arms. "Can you please tell me what I said?" I think to see if I can remember. I then try and channel what she was talking about while I was watching the window. At that moment I remember what she was talking about. "You were telling us how with good manners we will be treated the same. The reason you brought that up is because you saw one of the other girls being rude to another. Also you were explaining to us how nouns, pronouns, and verbs are used in a sentence." She looked at me impressed and smiled. Jack looks over at me and smiles and gives me a thumbs up. After class me and jack head to lunch. When we got there a girl started talking to him. "Hey jack do you want to eat lunch with me? My friends will be there of course, but you are welcome to sit beside me." I could tell that she liked him. "No not today Claire I am eating lunch with Elise. Oh I should introduce you to each other. Elise this is Claire and Claire this it Elise." I smile at her. "Nice to meet you Claire." She just looks annoyed with me. "Yea...right whatever." She looks at jack and smiles and walks away. Jack looked at me and showed me where the cafeteria was. We got our food and sat down at a table. I looked down at the table most of the time we were there. Jack looks at me and looks a bit concerned. "Elise are you alright?" I nod and I got up from the table. I started to walk off when someone bumped into me. "Hey you better watch were you are going. A shy girl like you shouldn't even be a wolf." I look up to see who it was and then I knew. It was the girl from earlier that was talking to Jack. "I'm sorry." I then start to walk away when she grabbed my arm. "Hey you can't just say you're sorry and walk away from me. You need to make a real apology by bowing before me and apologize." I look at her with a blank look. "I have to go somewhere so if you don't mind." I get her hand off of my arm and start walking off again. I hear her tell her friends to get me and I couldn't hold it in. I turn around and flash my eyes at them. They freeze in there steps and look at each other. "You will not attack me and you will speak nothing of this. Do you both understand me?" They nod and run back to Claire. I then turn my eyes back the way they were. I could hear how angry Claire was and I saw her coming for me. I then decided to run away from her and hide. I didn't want to expose myself on the first day of school. I could hear jack chasing after her yelling at her to stop. I jump down a flight of stairs and everyone jumps in shock. I turn around and see Claire and I keep running. As I was about to jump over two people I tripped after. She caught up to me and pulled my arm. I got angry and pushed her off of me. She got angry and flashed her eyes at me. I was smelling around me and there was only wolves. I look at them and tell them to block all entrances. At that moment Claire transformed and they did what I said. Jack caught up and they let him in. "Alright everyone leave and have one wolf at each entrance from the outside. No one is allowed in here not even you guys. I need to get Claire to change back and calm down." They listen to him and leave and he turns to us. She growls at me and I try to hold in everything. She tried to bite me but I jump back away from her. Jack then changed and jumped in front of me. She got mad and transformed back. He did the same and she looked really mad. "Why the hell are you defending her?" He stands in front of me and looks at her with a straight face. "Because she is worth everything. She did nothing wrong to you. Leave Claire and don't come back to us." She growled and left the room and ran into the woods. I was trying to control my wolf but it was bursting out. "Jack leave please go." He turned around quickly and was shocked. "Why what's wrong are you hurt?" I shake my head. "No just please go I don't want to hurt you. I don't want you to see me like this please go hurry." He looked confused but it was too late. At that moment I turned and he fell back shocked. I look at him and whimper and lay down. He slowly crawls over to me sits in front of me. He looks at my eyes and smiles and I was confused. Why was he smiling I am a scary wolf. He then comes closer and hugs me. I was so shocked that I turned back. That's when I break down and I start to cry. It took me a good five minutes to stop crying. He pulls away and I wipe my tears away. "I told you to go so you wouldn't see me. Why did you not leave me alone?" He smiles at me and stands up. He puts his hand out for me and I take it. I get up and he answers me. "It's because I had a feeling there was something different about you. I didn't know that was what was different, but I like it." I get up and start to walk away. Jack grabs my hand and gets up. "Hey let's skip the next classes. I know somewhere where we can go to hang out. It's a part of the building that isn't used anymore." We went and he was right this part isn't used anymore. The room was dark and there were old desks everywhere. I sat down near a window that looked out to the woods. I took a deep breath and I could smell other wolves. My eyes flashed and I got up and opened the window all the way. Jack saw my reaction and then he smelt them as well. "These wolves are not from this territory. We need to find them and I mean now." Before he finished I already jumped out and was on the run. My where were still ice blue and I was tracking them. I heard jack behind me as he caught up to me. He looks at me with shock and I laugh a little. "I know they are headed to the river, so if we want to catch them I suggest you follow me." He smiles and let's me lead the way. I take a shortcut that I knew about when I lived here before. Jack was impressed with how quickly we got there. We turned around and saw them and it was a female wolf with three pups. They transformed back to human and she was crying. "Please don't just us for being on your territory. I was running from rouge wolves that were chasing us. These are my kids and we are the only ones of our pack that made it out alive." I looked shocked and sunk to the ground. I was having memories of the day my pack was destroyed. Jack saw and told the lady to go to his pack. He told her where to go and to mask their scent. She thanked him and then went. He kneels down and looks at me. "Elise, hey Elise are you alright? Hey snap out of it look at me, look at me!" I snap out of it and look at him. "Listen I know what happened is horrible, but you have to get past it. I know how hard it is to lose someone you care about. You have to try and move on so you don't keep thinking about it. We need to go back so we don't get into too much trouble." He gets up and puts his hand to me. I take it and I get up and he starts walking towards the school. I start to drop my hand and he picks it back up and holds it. I was shocked for a moment but just brushed it aside. We made it back and one of the teachers told us to go to the principal. We go and he stands in his office looking disappointed in us. "Jack, Elise if you could sit down please? Now I know it's your first day, but skipping is not a good start. Jack I didn't expect you to condone this behavior. Why would you two skip out on the rest of classes today?" I look down a bit nervous and Jack speaks for me. "Well did I know that Elise has suffered a lot. There was a girl that was picking on her and getting her angry. I thought it was best for her to cool off and regain control. Then she started having flashbacks of her past and I though it would help. Don't blame her it was my fault I told her to." I look up at him to thank him. He gives a small smile and looks back at the principal. "Alright thank you for telling me what happened. Today I will let you off with a warning, but next time you will be punished." We told him we understood and then we left his office. We walked to our last class and I tried to pay attention. After class we walk back to the car and I sit down quietly. Jack gets in and looks over at me. "Are you alright?" I look down and over at him. "We need to tell Axel what happened. We need to tell him that you know what I am." He puts one hand on the steering wheel and one on my shoulder. "Listen everything will be fine. We will tell him and he won't be mad. He might have a plan on how to keep it from happening again." His hand still was on my shoulder and I saw someone in front of the car. I looked and it was Lacey. Jack noticed and moved his hand and opened the door. He got out and shut it and started talking to her. "What is it Lacey we should be on our way home now." She crosses her arms and looks at him. "Yea I agree we should be going home. If that is what we should be doing, then why do I not see you leaving?" He looks down and back up at her. "Elise had a hard day and she is scared to tell Axel. I was calming her down and helping her." She looks at him with disbelief. "Is flirting how you plan on accomplishing that?" He looks at her shocked. "I was not flirting with her." She smirks at him. "Oh yea well are you aware that you have Rebecca who has a crush on you. She has ever since you became a member of this pack. She looks at you as if you were her soulmate." He just looks down. "Should I tell her you're not interested?" He looks up at her and walks away. He opens the door and gets in the car. He turns it on and gives her a warning to move. She hits his car and moves out of the way. After that he sped past her like he was angry. I look at him and he looked mad. "Jack what's wrong?" He just kept looking forward and kept speeding up. I was worried so I tried to get his attention. "Jack you have to stop just slow down. Jack please you're scaring me slow down." Just then a little kid was wondering into the road. The parents were not paying attention. I frantically tried to get his attention. I reached over and honked the horn and he snapped out of it. I reached back as he slammed on his brakes. The little kid started crying in fear as the parents were screaming at us. After that I told him to pull up further away from the parents and the kid. We got out of sight and I told him to stop the car. He did and looked at me. "Elise I'm so sorry I don't know what happened. I was not in control of my mind and emotions I'm sorry." I just look at him and smile. "It's ok as long as the kid is safe and we are safe. Listen I know how to drive so switch with me. I will drive home and you can calm down." We did just that I drove and he just sat in the passenger seat. Once we got home I got out and gave him the keys. He took them and went to his room. I went to mine and fell asleep until morning.
