The Dragon Known as Husk Academy

Characters:

Mimi Ackerward - A young girl from a family well known world wide. Her family is responsible for some of the best police investigation equipment, detectives, and cops, in the world. However despite these past achievements, in more recent years, the family has pulled themselves from that world. Especially since her father, the world famous detective Warren Ackerward, was killed shortly after finishing a job. Her mom Niki, not being a detective, and more of an artist, raised her to the best of her ability. She sent her daughter to the local schools, and she was meant to go to Griffin High, for high school, but due to certain circumstances, her mom changed courses sending her to HA. Mimi usually has an easy going personality, and is easily one of the most observant students at her school. Her personality can change quickly if she notices one of her fellow classmates acting strangely, or treating anyone with disrespect. (Bullying, physical attack, erratic emotional outbursts, ect.) Often these reactions to the world around her, and the things she experiences leak into her artwork, and story ideas. All in all, Mimi has a big heart, and will always go out of her way to help people, or stop nasty turns of events. She just wants to have as much peace as one can have in high school. Her goals following high school, are to become a comic book artist and writer, and to self publish and sell said comics. She currently attends school at Husk Academy.

Nikolas Fowl - Mimi's childhood best friend, and one of her closest confidants. Nick's cousin, Rayna, went to HA and was mysteriously killed. Due to the fact that she was known for causing trouble, and fights on school grounds, not too many people missed his cousin. Nick knew that Mimi would be willing to look into what happened, no matter where she went to school, and despite his cousins reputation. Hot headed, and known originally for getting himself into trouble, Nick, and Mimi, became friends through unlikely circumstances. He had been breaking rules and, causing trouble for quite some time, but that was only due to him being blackmailed by the school bullies who would threaten to attack his little sister if he even so much as rejected their requests, or told anyone what they were doing. Despite these things he knew what he was doing was wrong. One day they told him to set the gym on fire while Mimi's class was in there. He tried to reject them multiple times until they threatened his baby sister and, mom. This time however, they were overheard. Mimi hadn't been far away with an old tape recorder in hand. Nick saw her leave just after the bullies did, and from around a corner, just out of sight from the incident. When he jeered at her, even yelling to get her attention, and she chose not to respond, he grabbed her shoulder. When she did turn around, he tried to threaten her, only to hear her play a recording of the conversation. He tried to come back at her, with her stopping him, and telling him her plan. She even told him, he didn't have to go along with it, but that if he wanted to stay out of jail, and be in school to protect his little sister, he might want too. It hung on his mind, until he left to go set up the gym to burn. Instead of doing that however he waited till he was called to the office, along with the bullies, and actually told the truth. With the bullies being expelled, and his name being cleared because of her, he was a little more than grateful, and they had been friends ever since. Nick is an protective hot head who will go out of his way to help and protect his friends (and family) when they need it. He isn't as intune with noting unusual behavior, but does tend to pick up on the weight of a situation, using that to plan a course of action. He is close to, and views all of the friends he has, as family, and will stop at nothing to remind them of that. His favorite things to do include, practicing and learning new methods of self-defense/combat, listening to/writing music, and hanging out/ sharing interests with friends. When Nick graduates, he wants to be a musician, and write songs that bring joy to his friends, family, and the world. He currently attends school at
