jeslyn's last day

after jeslyn and daehwi were done eating at a nearby place from the school, they decided to walk around the park. because of daylight savings time, it was already dark at this point.

"daehwi-ah... are you enjoying your first few days of school?" jeslyn asks.

daehwi nods. "of course, especially thanks to you, school is always fun."

"ai cute~ cheesy daehwi." jeslyn laughs.

they started walking back to the dorm so that they aren't late for curfew role call. as they were in front of daehwi's dorm, they stopped in front of the door to hug each other as always.

"see you tomorrow jeslyn-ah! don't forget to call me later." daehwi says with a smile.

"daehwi-ah... i..." jeslyn hesitates to say anything. she looks at daehwi's lips, thinking about it.

jeslyn leans forward and places her soft lip against daehwi's. she pulls apart from daehwi, blushing. they laugh about it and meet each others eyes again.

"see you soon, daehwi-ah~" jeslyn waves at daehwi and walks away.

as jeslyn walks away, tears start to form in her eyes. little did daehwi know that the kiss was her goodbye gift to daehwi since jeslyn is moving. her best friend doesn't know that she's moving sadly, but she hopes that she'll never have to feel this sadness ever again.

she grabs her bags and heads off of campus as her parents come to pick her up.

"ready?" her mom said. jeslyn nods and looks back at the school. luckily, she has pictures of daehwi in her phone to always remember her best friend...

she falls asleep during the car ride as she moves on to a restarted life.
