~exam week~

afterschool, taeil was talking with other seniors outside of school until he saw someone walk out of the building.

"yuta, i'll catch up with you later." taeil waved and stepped back before running after jeslyn.

she was reading a book while walking across the street. taeil ran behind her, putting his arm around her shoulders.

"oh my- jesus taeil, you startled me." jeslyn laughed.

"how's my favorite freshie been lately?" taeil booped her nose. jeslyn felt like blushing, as if nobody has treated her like this before.

"ah, i've been well. i'm studying hard for upcoming exams." jeslyn smiled at taeil. his arm was still around her.

"really? i can help you study! well, that is if you are okay with it." taeil's hand brushed behind his sharp jawline, like a sign of nervousness. as jeslyn was hesitating to decide, someone from behind them came out of nowhere.

"taeil!! good to see you again."

it was somi. jeslyn praised her for her beauty and popularity all the time. somi looked naturally beautiful and had so many friends .

"oh, hey!" taeil responded to her.

"may i ask you something? it'll probably take a couple of minutes." somi asked taeil.

"oh i was having a conversation with-" jeslyn cut off taeil. "it's fine. i was going to leave for home anyways. we can talk tomorrow. bye bye~" jeslyn waved as she walked to the bus stop.

taeil waved back, wishing she'd come back.

"is this seat taken?" daehwi asked jeslyn as she was studying at the cafe.

"oh daehwi!" jeslyn exclaimed. "sit down if you want! i'm just studying for a couple hours."

daehwi smiled and sat down. "can i help?" he asks. jeslyn nods and shows him what she is doing on her laptop.

"i'll order us some coffee if you want," jeslyn says, "you know... just as a treat from me." she smiles. "that sounds good." daehwi replies.

right now, daehwi has nothing to fear over. he cares so much for jeslyn and is more than happy to know that she is okay. well, for now. he's even thinking about confessing to her soon, as he loves her... more than just a close friend. he's committed to take care and love her at all times, even if it means waiting for her for another 5 years.

jeslyn comes back, holding two iced americanos. "okay, ready to get our study session on?" she asks with a smile.

"let's do this!" daehwi smiles back.

they've been at the cafe for about 5 hours now, and jeslyn fell tired, so she wanted to go to her apartment.

"daehwi.. we've been studying hard, shouldn't we go home now?" she asked in a tired voice.

he nodded and started to pack things in his bag.

as they walked to the bus stop, they were waiting next to an intimidating stranger. the stranger kept scooting closer and closer to jeslyn, and daehwi immediately noticed.

instead of saying something, he put his arm around her to lean closer to him.

then, the stranger looked at daehwi, but daehwi avoided eye contact with him.

"what was that for?" jeslyn whispered. "don't worry about it." he responds.

daehwi carried jeslyn on his back as they were heading to their apartments. he noticed someone outside of jeslyns apartment door.

"oh, is jeslyn okay?" the person went up to them and checked on jeslyn, who was sleeping on daehwi's back.

"yes, she's just tired. who are you?" daehwi asks. "hi, i'm chenle. i came here a couple minutes ago to pick up a few books that i left at her place."

"ah okay." he responded. daehwi grabbed jeslyns keys from her hand and opened her apartment door.

he placed jeslyn on her bed carefully so she wouldn't wake up.

daehwi smiles just looking at sleepy jeslyn. you just get cuter everytime i see you, don't you?
