*Logan*
"So, Doc..."
"Logan, she is in pain and constantly asking me to fix it every five minutes, changes nothing." Dr. Grey tells me as he puts more drugs into my sister's IV.
"I was going to ask if you know anything that is wrong with her." I sit in his chair, trying to ignore her screaming.
"You sure you want to know that answer, Logan?"
"I wouldn't have asked if I didn't old man." He sighs before nodding and pulling up another chair while my sister goes back into her drug-induced coma.
"Well, you were gone the first couple of weeks we had her for a reason. She has healed very well physically. When we first got her, it honestly didn't look like her. I still don't know if she will heal mentally. As far as permanent damage to her body, well we believe they broke her eardrums. So if we are right she will be deaf for the rest of her life. She might have spaz attacks either from memories or nerve damages. Until she is able to wake up without screaming and crying, and well you have seen the rest. I am afraid we won't know the full extent of the damage done to her."
"What did they do to her?" I ask quietly.
"Electrocution, drowning, burning, and some more but we couldn't figure out how to use the other machines."
"Machines?" I asked still trying to stay calm.
"Now Logan, calm. We kept you away for a reason. Your sister was in really bad shape. She really has improved. And you never know, maybe her spirit isn't completely broken, but she is going to need your help, Logan. Can't run away now."
"Who said I was going to run away?"
"You trying to run from the government is what landed your sister in this situation. I hate to say it but I don't believe in beating around the bush. It's your fault she is as broken as she is."
"It seems you don't believe in being nice either." I growl out through clenched teeth, "And you don't think I already know it's my fault. I am vividly aware old man."
"I know you are, but that doesn't mean you need to hurt yourself because of it. You dying won't save your sister Logan." He pats my back and leaves me alone with my now silent sister.
