Harry

     I was so nervous Mila would absolutely hate me after this if she didn't already but Niall told me she was coming home and I needed to at least give it a shot. I felt my stomach twitch as the front door to her apartment was pushed open but I felt it totally drop when I saw her head peek out from the side of the pillows. "Mila" I said and she just put the pillows down without saying a word. She looked around the room and crossed her arms. "Why did you do this?" She asked pointing to all the vases filled with flowers around the apartment. "A grand gesture?" I said weakly and she scoffed under her breath. "A grand gesture would've been standing up for me in front of the office and in front of your ex." She replied dryly as Isabella bowed out of the room. "I'm sorry Mila" I said sincerely and she rolled her eyes. "Do you know how shitty that made me feel? Like I was just some kind of quick fuck for you and that's all I was ever going to be" she said fighting back tears as she still stood across the room from me. "You're my girlfriend Mi" I said walking a few steps toward her. "No Harry. Boyfriends don't let ex's talk to girlfriends like that and they sure as hell don't take an ex's side over their girlfriends. I trusted you and my dad did too and then you turned around and let someone making me the butt of a joke." She said wiping her eyes. "You hurt me Harry" she said softly as she lowered her head. I could feel my eyes starting to fill with tears and I tried to hold back. "I got a restraining order on Camille. I sold your father another twenty five percent of the company so now I am only responsible for twenty five percent and I'm no longer working at that office. The only person who comes with me is my assistant and she knew about you and I. I sat everyone one down in a meeting and we discussed what took place. The girls were upset and thought you were given special treatment because of us but once we all talked they realized it wasn't true and no one went to Human Resources." I said taking a couple more steps towards her and she just shook her head. "I'm glad you saved your own ass Harry" she said stepping to the side of the door. "Mi I saved yours too. I told your father what happened he's absolutely pissed at me. I wrote you an excellent letter of recommendation and whoever your father hires at the old office has a job waiting for you there if you want it. Mila I am so sorry and I can't even explain to you how heavy this has weighed on me" I said feeling the tears begin to flow from my eyes. "I can't believe I was the one to hurt you and make you this upset. I never wanted that. I was stupid and should've been at your defense instead of worrying about the company. I just want my girlfriend back and I want to prove to you that you mean more to me than the company, money, cars, private jets, anything you name it I would give it all back to see what the future with you holds". She took a few steps towards me and wrapped her arms around me squeezing me gently. "I forgive you Harry but it's going to take me a little bit to fully trust you again" she said softly against my chest and I nodded. "To start you can help carry in the rest of the boxes" she continued chuckling as she looked up at me. "Wipe your tears and let's get going" she said as she dried her eyes. I felt happy knowing that I had made a step in the right direction, but I felt even more excited to know that our future was headed in one direction, up. I smiled to myself thinking about what might come next but for now I was content knowing my girlfriend was still mine.
