Harry

I had never seen Mila more nervous than she was right now. She sat in the passenger side of the rented Audi as she fiddled with her hair and twisted the rings on her fingers while anxiously shifting in her seat. I knew she was nervous about meeting my family and friends here but she really had no need. They would all adore her as much as I did. Sure the way we got together was unconventional and wrong... but that's what makes us. Us. "Hey calm down" I finally speak as I smile warmly while watching the road intently. "I'm fine really" Mila rushes out as she shifts her self in her seat again. "I'm freaking out" she finally huffs as she throws her head against the head rest. "I've met guys parents before it's just... I don't know. They raised you and you're like... you're you!" She exclaimed as she covered her face with her hands. "Mi you'll be fine. I promise I wouldn't have brought you here if I thought it wouldn't go well. I'm right here I promise it'll be fantastic" I smiled as I grabbed her hand and she took a long breath. "I need a xanax" she teased as she tried to relax. We eventually pulled up to the house and Mila looked bewildered out of the window. "Holy shit. Harry no" she said. She took in the sight of the large white home and shook her head. "I told you I bought my mum a house" I said and she just continued to shake her head. "Come on I promise" I said once more as I hopped from the car and went to open her door. The gravel crunches beneath her boots and she slowly made her way to the door behind me fiddling with her belt and jacket before taking a deep breath and putting on her 'game face'. "Coming" I heard my moms soft voice yell from the other side which was followed by the sound of locks unclicking. "Harry!" She chimed as she pulled me into a hug kissing my cheek. "Hi mum" I replied hugging her tightly as I saw Gemma come around the corner. "Harold" she said softly as she playfully eyed me. "This is Mila Hendrix my girlfriend" I said as Mila stepped forward and my mother instantly pulled her into a hug. "Oh sweetie I've heard so much about you" my mother spoke and Mila smiled. "Harry has told me so much about all of you. Thank you so much for having me" Mila spoke confidently as my mum unwrapped her arms from her. We all shuffled inside where my stepdad was and we all exchanged greetings. Gemma and Mila hit it off right away and Mila fit in so well with my family. Her personality clicked perfectly and her humor did too. "She's a good one" my stepdad spoke snapping me from my thoughts. " excuse me?" I asked and he pointed to Mila standing around with Gemma and my mum. "Mila. She's a good one. You've never brought a girl home who took to the family this well" he spoke. "I know... it's scary" I replied and he chuckled. "It's always kind of scary when you meet the one" he said and it rung in my ears over and over. The one. I think this only resonated with me because somewhere deep down I knew she was the end game for me but things were moving so quickly I couldn't wrap my head around it. We spent all evening laughing and catching up before Mila and I finally headed outside to bring the luggage in. We were staying in one of the spare rooms but it was massive. It was very... my mother. All white and bright. The total opposite of my decor taste but Mila seemed to enjoy it. "Your family is really amazing" she said as we stood at the double sinks as she washed her face and brushed her teeth. "They really like you. I told you they would" I spoke and she smiled. "I just wanna be perfect so they see why you like me so much" she spoke gently. "Oh they know why. I tell them every time we speak." I chuckle and she scrunches her nose up at me. "Tomorrow I want you to meet one of my best mates" I spoke and she nodded. "Like lunch or?" She asked innocently. "Drinks a party... who knows. Hero has a wild streak"
