Y/N's P.O.V.

Zoldyck . . . I mused as death loomed over me, taunting. The Zoldyck family was composed of infamous assassins who blended in with the shadows. As I felt the boy's knife press harder against my neck, warm blood sliding down to the ground, I closed my eyes. "Do as you please."

Killua scoffed softly, "You're not going to beg for your life? How boring."

"Get off her!" This was Gon, now standing and lunging for the assassin pinning me down with a furious fire burning behind his eyes. Nothing like the friendly soldier from before, arms outstretched.

A low, frustrated growl rumbled from Killua's throat and-without letting me go-kicked Gon on his stomach, sending him a few feet away with a crash.

The assassin laughed but stopped when I spit on his face. He whirled to look at me, suddenly remembering his objective.

I didn't give him enough time to slash my neck because I flipped over, knocking him off from me. I hear him curse.

Gon's angry fist collides with the white-haired boy's face and the two males struggle for control sounding like two clashing boulders, destructive forces of nature.

Quickly! I try to think of a way to stop this fight. Someone could get killed.

The wisest decision would be to just leave them while I had the chance, but this was Gon we were talking about. I couldn't.

Just then, a click sound snaps me out of my panic. The scene before me makes me blow a sigh of relief.

Gon stands over the glowering assassin, who's hand is handcuffed. The other handcuff is around Gon's wrist, a triumphant smirk on his face. "Now if you try anything, assassin, it won't just be me getting hurt."

Before indulging in the moment, a chorus of footsteps sounded behind me. Whipping around, my eyes widened when I realized the soldier from before was gone, now stationed further inside the gates, waving at the fellow soldiers over.

"Shit," Gon ran a hand through his hair. "He must of called them. We need to go. NOW."

"There!" A royal guard barked, pointing at me. "Get the princess. Arrest the criminals!"

I ran to the boys, heart stammering, before doing something insane. I crouched in front of Killua, the boy arching a questioning eyebrow, before I snatched a round object hanging from his waist. "Hey!" He yelled after me.

As the guards neared, I threw the gas bomb and we were suddenly surrounded by a thick layer of gray mist. Gon grabbed my arm, "Good job, kid."

But when we entered the forest, Gon raised his hand to reveal the empty handcuff.

"What's this?" Mused the assassin now standing on a tall tree ahead of us. He held up . . . MY NECKLACE! "It must be important since you since you were guarding it pretty closely, princess."

"No," my voice broke and I reached out a shaky hand. "G-give it back."

"I wonder what's inside~" His fingers moved eagerly, a playful tone beneath his words. My heart sank and I sprang before he opened it, but it was already too late.

"Oh." Is all Killua said, eyes dilating.
