I Could Fall

Your fingers fall on the keys, light and enthralling.

I could fall in love with your melody, let it flow through me, and if we're lucky, we'll come out stronger, more in tune than ever.  Though only if the hammers and strings we're played on will allow it.

The birds chirp outside the window, resting on the big fern, beofore they ride with their wings on the wind.

Our wings ride on everyone before us. All their opinions jumbelld together, makes us feel less. Their idea of soulmates were so flawed. For our souls change, just like the wind, we are unpredictable. And we can hope the soulmate we found first will grow with us and not apart, but love is so fragile. Like the seams wich stich our lives together.

We were strangers in a crowd of too many. And I looked at you, not because our feathers where the same hue, but beacuse you listend as to why that scared me.

The kind of love Hollywood displays on their pedistal is not true love, not for everyone, not for most. Yet we long for this "perfect" ideal, that is simply impossible. For we are messy, and so is our love.

You finish the tune and quiet fills the room. The quiet that feels more safe than unweavering, the quiet i hope will feel familiar. And you smile, so charming and comforting, no agenda behind it, only impulse. And after we talk, after the quiet lifted and the feeling of familiar has left before it came, you take my glasses. You tell me your veiw of us, you tell me about the melody you play, and I realize; our feathers were never the same hue. For love had tainted my sight, and all the red flags blendt inn with the rose colourd tint.
