SLIGHT TRIGGER WARNING NO DETAINLS BUT IMPLYING OF RUTHLESS BULLYING SUICIDE EATING DISORDERONLY FOR THE WALK TO SCHOOL PARAGRAPHS REFERRING TO THEIR PAST...
That next morning she got ready and on her way to the steps she bumped into Gabriel on his way to the bathroom. They laughed and parted ways. She went down stairs and took her medicine before sitting at own for breakfast. Cas was already in her scrubs with a trench coat over it. "Alright so you are going to show Gabriel around the school. You know to call someone if your ya know, not feeling well. I have to go but tell Gabe I said bye." Cas said rushing around. "Woe woe, I just made your coffee, take a minute to sit." Dean offered. "Cant honey, got to go."
She replied slipping on her shoes. He came over with her coffee trying to coax her when she said," you do know coffee isnt good for pregnant ladies, right?" "I do now and tommorow this will be tea." He directs to ward the cup before putting it down. "Right, well love you have a great day." They kiss on the cheeks before she rushes out the door.Dean sighs and Sam eating her cereal chuckled getting Dean's attention. "What's so funny?"
"The great Dean Winchester is going be making tea every morning." She smirked. He chuckled. "Yeah well I'm practically playing house wife on the daily so there ain't to much dignity I havnt shed yet. Anyways, you want her coffee?" He asked and she took graciously. "Thanks mom." "Yeah yeah." Was his reply."Hey Dean-o, was wonderin if you're taking us to school or..." he left the sentence open ended so he could tell him what the plan is.
"Well Sam usually walks to school, if that's ok?" Dean asked. Sam really hadn't thought much of her walking to school. Usually Dean had to be to work early and she just decided to walk do they didnt have to pay as much for gas. Then it just became routine. Well other than when she had been doing chemo since she really couldnt do a walk like that unsupervised in case of sickness. So when Gabriel seemed quite surprised by this news it took her a minute to figure out why. But he replied saying that was no problem. Then gave Sam a sly smile before pulling his back pack over his shoulder.
They headed down the street to the school. "So do you always walk to school?" Gabriel asked.
"Well Dean usually works early, so yea." Gabriel nodded. "Its just my parents would either get me a ride or I'd take the bus. It's not to safe where I live. At least not safe enough to walk to school."
"Where do you live?"
"Uhh a suburban part of New Jersey, but ya know it's still New Jersey. Everyone knows everyone's problems and if they dont know how to deal with their own they use others against them," Gabriel sighed. Sam knew he meant that he got bullied. Probably for his home life. She had too. It started out just being left out because she was a 6 year old who could only afford clothes from the salvation army, Walmart, k mart, thrift stores and ect. Then as she got older and kids got to be cruel she was called welfare kid. Even after she moved into a house. Her dad was a mechanic like her brother. That was the big reason he got the job their dad was a hard worker and dean loved helping at the garage. Whether it was cleaning or helping with the cars starting at age 14. After a while they started giving him a little money for it. He would save it for Christmas. After a while he started getting minimum wage and was working there. Her mom was a waitress and she helped her mom out. They had Dean young and couldnt go to college but they never regretted having dean and loving him nor did they her. But the bullying got bad one day. Welfare kid was put on sticky notes and would be put on her back. Though she never stunk people would laugh and give her soap then it got to trying to take her flannel and what not they put horrible notes telling her to... she shuddered remembering. When her parents died and they were scrounging for money was when bullying hit its peak and she just couldnt do it and she almost..... but Dean stopped her. He held her all night as she cried. Then she started getting into different things like band, choir different sports then one day she got sick and she just kept trying.Gabriel may have lived in the suburbs of the New Jersey but the streets are the streets. Sometimes his parents were home sometimes they weren't. In truth he didnt even know or want to know what they did for that matter. Things in their house were good until he was 7 and his parents started fighting both started keeping secrets and his dad started drinking. Cas went to an out of state college as soon she could. She was the one to make sure food stayed on the table. So Gabriel's food became the candy he got from the store. With his only food being candy if his mom wouldnt have dinner he started gaining weight. He got picked on for the weight, and the alcoholic parent. Making jokes about them hanging with his mom at night (or what he hopes are jokes.) The bullying would get physical and it was so hard. He wanted so badly to fit in so he... stopped eating. Maybe that's not a normal thing for guys to do but he doesnt care. He became the jokester, a trickster. It was easier. He pranked the people who picked on him, and didnt feel bad for it either.
Sam took his hand because she knew exactly what he meant and knew exactly what he needed, because she needed it too. "I get what you mean." He was taken back by her hold. He looked into her extraordinary eyes and saw the sadness and the shame. And he squeezed comfortingly. He leaned over kissing her cheek.

When class started Sam had her place in the front of the class and Gabriel had a mischievous smile on his face as he sat down. "What did you do?" She asked and he just waved his eyebrows teasing. When the teacher came in and lowered the map a whole bucket of glitter poured on his head and the whole class burst into uncontrollable laughter. The teacher tried to look angry which just made it funnier. "Who did this?" Mr. Crowley demanded but everyone was tight lipped. The teacher left angrily and everyone chatted knowing they weren't doing anything for the rest of class. "Did you do that?" Sam asked in astonishment. And Gabriel shrugged acting innocent.
The school day ended and Sam lead Gabriel to her friend Charlie and Kevin's house the fellow drum and bass player. Together they were 'team free will' dean came up with it with his dad when sam was 8. Ruby, their regular guitaris, was one who hurt herself playing basketball. Jessica and Andy were their techs. They were all the rejects at one point and now their band was like the highlight of the year before when they performed at the end of the year. "Hey guys this is Gabriel he's going to be filling in on guitar." They all greeted, all loving Gabriel and his stupid jokes. They started with 'Rise up' and Gabriel found himself dumbstruck at the sound of her voice. It was amazing, it was strong and flawless. After it was over they all headed home.
"Hey sam," Gabriel said. "I was wondering if you would make the stupidest decision of your life and let me take you to the dance?" She was out of breath and didnt fully know why because she knew this question took her breath away but it shouldn't make it feel like this. None the less she jumped for joy saying yes before she pulled herself together.
"I mean, that's cool. I'm good with that." He chuckled and she smiled shyly. He kissed her again before going inside. A wave of pain shot through her chest but she pushed past it not wanting anyone to worry. "Dinner's ready," Dean called. Cas was already on the couch nursing her feet. "Hey Dean I think I might head to bed already," sam called. Dean obviously was concerned by this. "Why, what's wrong, are you ok?" Dean asked frantically. "Yea practice just tired me out." She answered reassuringly to Dean and cas who had redirected her attention at the comment. Dean nodded understandably. She went upstairs taking her medicine and going straight to bed.In the middle of the night her stomach cramped horribly and nausea hit so hard it felt like it was swinging with a bat. Her lungs burned and it felt like she was barely able to get anything in. She went to the trash can in her room and just couldnt hold it back.
