Noah's POV

Why do I keep bumping into this girl? Don't get me wrong, she's beautiful... but I'm trouble. It's difficult bringing an outsider into a world like mine.

Earlier I was sitting in my penthouse flipping through the channels when I decided to go out for a run around the block. There's nothing wrong with the penthouse – its great. It's just that I'm so used to being surrounded by friends and family and being outdoors most of the time.

I'm not used to being this... isolated. Growing up, there were always people in and around my home. I've never had any siblings but I've never felt as alone as I do right now. All the men my father associated with treated me like family – even though it wasn't always genuine because they had to respect me. We were always together and now it's just me.  I don't know what to do with all this free time but going for a run always clears my mind.

I changed into running shorts and a v-neck shirt. I grabbed my i-pod and head to the elevator. Before the elevator door can close a girl rushes in.

It's the same girl from the club. Even with her messy bun and no make-up, she still looks as beautiful as she did last night – maybe even more.

She's glued to her phone and doesn't even notice that I'm here. I tried to get her attention by clearing my throat but she still doesn't look up. I don't think she heard me.

Wait, why am I even trying to get her attention in the first place? I'm supposed to be keeping a low profile.

But... there's something different about her, I don't know what it is but I've never felt this way before. It scares me.

I need to get out of here before she notices me.

We both dash to the door and end up colliding. She's looking at me with those electric blue eyes. I've never seen an earthly being look so motherfucking gorgeous.

I can see she's about to ask me something, so I quickly turn and walk towards the door. I immediately begin running down the block but all the fresh air in the world couldn't get those damn eyes out of my head.

My entire run I couldn't stop thinking about her mesmerizing beauty... from her dark brown hair to her sweet caramel skin – so tanned and perfect.
Even in her sweats, I could still see her curves.

I finish my run and head back to my penthouse. I take a shower and put on a pair of grey sweatpants. I make my way to the kitchen and get something to eat. The sun is starting to set and the entire apartment has this orange glow. In the midst of this majestic atmosphere, the piano is the only thing that sticks out. I can still remember the last time I played the piano... it was with my mother.

No-one besides my mother has ever heard me play before. My father always wanted me to focus on the family business, but my mother never really wanted that life for me. My mother used to play the piano all the time. When she got sick, she couldn't play anymore because she would get tired very easily. I asked her to teach me how to play because I could see how happy it made her.

The scenery makes me feel nostalgic reminding me of the last afternoon my mother and I played together.

I find myself walking towards the piano and taking a seat. The keys feel foreign to my fingers at first but after a while I begin to start playing effortlessly.

Alexis' POV

I usually eat my tacos by the park bench next to the food truck but today I decided to take them back home in the chance that I may run into him.

He's too mysterious. No one knows who he is and he's always disappearing – is he a ninja?

He's like a case... one that I need to solve.
