HER SHOES CLICKED on the stone floor,eyes darting around the interior of the castle. Various paintings hanged on the wall, their curious eyes studied her every being and it made her feel uneasy. Severus informed her about her belongings and how they would be placed in the room she would be assigned in after the sorting. After he had told her that, a woman by the name of Minerva Mcgonagall approached the young witch, informing her on how the headmaster wanted to meet her. With a small nod of approval from her godfather, she headed towards the headmaster's office together with the female professor.

Adelaide was nervous, she had read about Albus Dumbledore in Hogwarts: A History, he is a half-blood, was once a defence of the dark arts professor and transfiguration professor before becoming the headmaster. And according to her parents, Albus Dumbledore was the wisest wizard they knew.

Professor Mcgonagall stopped in front of a gargoyle statue and Adelaide watches in curiosity as the professor whispered a password to the statue, making it transform into a stone staircase.

" Just follow the staircase and it'll lead you to the headmaster's office," professor Mcgonagall states with a small smile before leaving the young woman alone.

Adelaide lets out a nervous sigh before walking up the stone steps. As she reached the top, she was amazed at the amount of things situated around the room. Books surrounded the area along with a telescope, and a globe with a baby phoenix perched on top.

" Hello, Miss Mikhelson."

Adelaide whips around in surprise, her bright ocean eyes stared up at the man in shock. The man chuckles at her before saying, " Didn't mean to startle you, dear. Did you have a safe trip?" He says casually as he walks over to his desk.

Adelaide blinks before replying, " Yes, sir."

Dumbledore smiles at her before looking over at the papers scattered on his desk. " Adelaide Zia Mikhelson," he starts. Addy looks up at the headmaster, " That's me..." she chuckles nervously.

Dumbledore sends her a small smile before saying, "Please take a seat, dear. I just have a few questions before the other students arrive." Adelaide takes a seat on a chair across from the headmaster.

" You are from Beauxbatons Academy of Magic, sorted into the Ombre Lune house, Quidditch captain, and a registered animagus?" He asks the last information as a question.

" Yes, my whole family learned the skill in their first years..." she answers, picking at her nails to calm her nerves.

Dumbledore nods, " Interesting..." he hums. " It is also stated here that you were from Durmstrang before you transferred to Beauxbatons. Why the sudden change?" He asks.
