"Sherlock?" Mary said, "John's not here."

"No, I know." Sherlock said smiling.

"Oh. Okay. Come in then." She said moving out the way to let Sherlock pass, "Would you like some tea?"

"No thanks. It's just a quick visit." Sherlock explained quickly. He'd had 4 days of being nice to people and couldn't cope for much longer. 2 more days was enough.

"Okay." She said looking at him oddly.

"Mary. The next few days are going to be hard for John."

"Why?"

"Just... Just be there for him. Please?"

"Of course I will. Sherlock, are you okay?"

"Yeah. Me? Yeah, fine." Sherlock suddenly began to smile, "Thank you, Mary Watson."

"For what?"

"Helping him. And for not killing me."

Sherlock turned to face the door once again before he was stopped.

"You're going to go with him, aren't you?"

"With who?" Sherlock said refusing to turn to look at her.

"Jim." Mary said. She could see Sherlock's breathing quicken, "I just want you to know it's fine. It's all fine Sherlock. I know you love him. And he loves you. It's all fine."

"I'm leaving my whole life behind for him." Sherlock whispered.

"Like I did for John."

"John..." Sherlock repeated painfully. He was leaving his best friend behind for a psychopath.

"He won't understand at first. He'll be a mess, again. But Sherlock, this time will be easier. I'll tell him you're in love."

"But John..." Sherlock said again feeling a tear roll down his cheek and hit the hard, wooden floor.

"You will be able to see him again Sherlock. You know that, don't you? Jim may be crazy but he's not that crazy."

"How do you know?"

"Because I worked for him." Mary said opening the door to let Sherlock out.

"Thank you." Sherlock said before hailing a taxi.
